Owner / Property Manager purchased this cabin in 1974
We stayed here for a long weekend and really enjoyed the cabin and the mountain. This cabin has everything, a good location, within walking distance of the lift. A good view of the lifts and the slopes. And finally a very stocked pantry. The owner provided a ton of information before the trip which is helpful. The place is very clean and the bed was comfortable. Highly recommended.
This cabin is located right next to Giant Steps Lodge and Lifts. You can see the ski runs right out the front window while you sit in front of this great wood burning fireplace, where the owner has provided us a rack full of wood to use. The cabin is very rustic, cozy and inviting.
The owner provides a "Welcome to Our Cabin" binder with great details about the cabin and the town of Brian Head. Since this was our first time at Brian Head, it was very helpful and informative. The cabin is well stocked with a lot of extras for cooking, including coffee, hot chocolate, and spices.
What’s also great is that we were able to have the shuttle pick us up at our front door to take us to Navajo and to Giant Steps lodges for skiing and not have to drive, even though we could have walked. It's pretty cool the owner had this information in the Cabin binder. The owner also provided us with an email a few days ahead of our trip and gave us his cell phone number to call if we had any questions.
The bedrooms had fresh linens and towels, and was very clean. Even though they don’t have satellite TV, they did have Roku TV on both the downstairs TV and the TV in the upstairs bedroom, which have Netflix, HBO, Showtime, ESPN, Pandora, and other great channels for the kids. They also had free internet and WI FI to use during our stay which was great for the kids to play on their computers.
We definitely recommend this cabin and will be staying there for our next trip to Brian Head!
I recently stayed here with 8 others & we had the best time! Its location is ideal, as it is walking distance to the slopes, as well as Thunder Mountain Snowmobiles. We took advantage of both attractions and really had a blast. Beware though that the cabin is so cozy that you may find it difficult to want to leave! Ha!
For the most part, the cabin itself was very well equipped. There were several bottles of ketchup and mustard left in the cabin, so save yourself the trouble of purchasing and packing your own! There is also a coffee machine, with some coffee and hot chocolate provided. The only thing I was disappointed in was the lack of pots/pans. Although the cabin sleeps 10 people, the kitchen is not equipped with enough pots and pans to cook a meal big enough to feed 10 people! I had to keep washing the two pots to reuse them to make other items.
Two tips for younger lodgers like us/groups of friends rather than couples: to reiterate the cabin's description, although the cabin can comfortably sleep 10, there are only 5 beds and 1 pull out couch, so make sure everyone in your party is willing to share beds! I also recommend bringing a bottle of lighter fluid and a lighter (or matches) to help get the fire going! Unfortunately the lighter they provided was almost out of fluid.
Ultimately, we had an amazing time and will definitely be returning! I would 110% recommend!
book this place if you like one of these:
-Body ache ( bad mattress)
-Restrooms without locks
- bedrooms without locks
- dirty bedding
My husband and 2 other couples decided to go to Brian Head for the long 4th of July Holiday weekend and chose this cabin for its location and size. It couldn't have worked out any better! For the 3 couples and one with 2 kids, the layout was perfect and the kids loved the bunk beds. It was located in the heart of town and within walking distance of all the attractions and events they had over the whole weekend. The owner was very helpful with all the information of what to do and where all the events were being held. When we called with a few questions, he responded every time. Something cool was they have Netflix and Pandora which were included, so when the parents were playing, the kids had plenty to do, including the board games as well. They also had free Wi Fi which the owner recently installed, so this was a nice perk! The cabin was very clean and well stocked with a lot of extras at our disposal including a new BBQ gas grill and plenty of outside chairs to sit on the deck. They also had a great Horseshoe Pit to play, and a cool Fire Pit which we all sat around and toasted marshmallows. The best part of this cabin is the location. With it being 4th of July and the town was packed with people, we were able to sit on the deck and watch all the fireworks without ever having to leave the cabin. This was the perfect weekend! We already told the owner we want to book it for more weekends this summer and will probably stay there next 4th of July. Summer time in Brian Head has the best weather to beat the heat and relax, and this cabin is the place to do it. We will recommend this to all of our friends and family and will for sure use this cabin again!
Our family decided to spend Thanksgiving at Brian Head this year and this Cozy Cabin was the perfect choice! The cabin was easy to get to and in the heart of town. You can see the ski slopes from the living room couch while sitting next to the warm fireplace. The location couldn't be any better. It had all the amenities you would want and cooking all the meals was made easy with all the spices and condiments in the cabinets which were included to use. There was also coffee in the cabinets and hot chocolate for my grandson to warm up with when we first got there. All of the bathrooms were stocked with soaps and shampoos and the bedrooms had fresh linens and comfortable mattress's in each room. A nice thing was that there was a welcoming book with a lot of information about the cabin and about things to do in Brian Head, with restaurants, activities, and other necessary tidbits. The owner was also very responsive to our calls and welcomed us to call anytime with questions during our stay if we needed. This cabin is very cozy and welcoming and we plan to come back to this cabin again this winter and can't wait to use it this summer. We will recommend this to all of our friends!
