My husband and I are both from Michigan and currently live in Virginia. We have created so many memories on the island and want to share that with others. Our guest book is growing in the five short years since the place was built. We enjoy reading it each time we visit.
We love the island and enjoy escaping reality each year when we visit. We just returned last night and have created so many new memories with our little one. She loved riding the horse taxi into town, throwing rocks into the water at the beach, riding on our bikes and seeing the horse's go right by our place each day. There is truly something for everyone on Mackinac Island.
We enjoy having a top floor view of Main St. We are across from Mission Church and have seen quite a few weddings go by. Mission Point's Bistro on the Green is a great spot that we love to go for tapas, a drink, live music all with a water view. In the summer there is even glow-in-the-dark putt-putt. The park next to us has adirondack chairs and we love to go there and relax.
We are a ten minute walk to bustling Main St where there are countless fudge, souvenir, restaurants, bars and ice cream shops. We love being able to hop on our bikes to do all of those things. The whole paved loop around the island is 8 miles. Take in some time to enjoy the history of the island at Fort Mackinac.

There are no cars or motorcycles allowed on Mackinac Island and that is what makes it so special. You get around by bike, horse drawn carriage or by foot. There is a miniature golf course just a short stroll next door at Mission Point. There are so many things to see and do.
