Beautifully maintained two bedroom home in a convenient location in Hailey, Idaho. This light and spacious house has high vaulted ceilings, a quaint and welcoming Dutch front door, and a piano. The home has an open floor plan, perfect for family gatherings. The large, fully appointed kitchen has island seating as well as a breakfast nook and office area. The adjacent dining room provides seating for ten. A two-sided gas fireplace warms both the living room and kitchen. A wall of windows in the living and dining rooms afford gorgeous views of Carbonate Mountain, Bald Mountain and beyond. These views can also be seen from the spacious deck, complete with patio furniture and a gas BBQ.

Owner Description: My name is Gwen, and I live next door with my family. My mother built this house in 2001 to be close to us, but now she lives with us, so her home is available to rent. Because she used to live there, it is very cozy and has a lot of personality and charm.

The Unique Benefits of this House: We love to use the Wood River Trail--we bike, walk, Rollerblade, or skateboard in good weather, and in the winter it is a x-country ski trail. There is so much to do right outside our door; we love living here.

The home is located on a quiet, private cul-de-sac on one acre just north of Hailey. It is steps away from the Wood River Trails bike path, which extends 22 miles. Enjoy biking, skating, or walking in the summer; in the winter, the path is groomed for Nordic skiing. Also steps away is a large playing field, outdoor tennis courts, and outdoor basketball courts. This is a great location, walking distance into town where you can find a movie theater, grocery stores, and many other fine shops and restaurants. Hiking, fishing, and mountain biking are all close by. Downhill skiing at world famous Sun Valley Resort is a short 15 minute drive. This would be a wonderful spot for your next family vacation!

  • The den/TV area has a double bed and a new couch that converts to a queen size bed. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a twin trundle bed. The adjoining master bath has a large shower and jetted Jacuzzi tub. The second bedroom has a bunk bed which is twin on the top and double on the bottom. There are two additional bathrooms, all with new towels and linens. Full laundry facilities are located in the mudroom off the kitchen.

This cozy (but large) house offers an incredible amount of space, warmth, amenities, and a view that is to die for (and nothing short of spectacular to wake up to every morning). Highly recommended for families and large parties. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderfully appointed and relaxing vacation home

This home was perfect for our family vacation - 180 degree views of the mountains and valley - the cross country trail at the end of the driveway - easy ski to the Quigley Nordic Center - easy access to skiing at Baldy - chef's kitchen - sledding on the hill just feet from the house. The home is nice and new and has very comfortable beds. The large common areas were exceptionally inviting and comfortable. We enjoyed the one level layout. Outstanding retreat or active vacation home.

Very Comfortable and Great Location!

This home was very comfortable, spacious, well maintained and very well equipped. It had everything a visitor could need or want. The owners were very nice and easy to work with. The property is in an excellent, central location with wonderful views and easy access to the bike path and the stores and restaurants in downtown Hailey. I've rented several properties in the Sun Valley area and would definitely love to come back to this property and highly recommend it!

Even Better than Home!

In our experience, this is an close to perfect as it gets! The home is cozy, comfortable and very well-equipped, yet it has just the right touch of sophistication to make vacationers feel like they are somewhere special. The owners were responsive to our needs, yet very unobtrusive. The location is very private, yet extremely convenient to everything one needs. Our family had a wonderful time here, and in the weeks since our return I find myself thinking back on it often.
