A beautiful Higgins Lake Vacation Home is sitting here for you. This Higgins Lake cottage sleeps up to eight people comfortably and offers all the amenities to make your vacation unforgettable. (With the other houses next to this cottage we can accommodate up to 30 people. See Big House) From the comfort of this accommodation you will be able to enjoy all that Higgins Lake has to offer you. The house has 3 bedrooms, one bedroom upstairs that has a queen bed, one bedroom downstairs with a queen bed, and another bedroom downstairs with a full bed and a bunk bed.The house is about 100 feet off the water with no obstructions or road in front of the house. This Higgins Lake vacation property offers you the use of very spacious bedrooms and approximately 800 feet of woods behind the house. Take advantage of the kitchen that will make you feel at home with all the essentials you need, including a dishwasher, central air,washer drier and many other amenities. This Michigan vacation rental also boasts a 6 foot deep sandy beach, mooring for a boat, and a ramp to launch a 13 foot or smaller boat, otherwise you can launch at the state park 1 mile east of house.

During your stay at our Higgins Lake vacation rental you will also enjoy cable TV, high speed internet, central air conditioning and BBQ. If you checked out Google map, there is no street behind the Higgins Lake homes. They planned in the 1930's to put a street in but never built it, it's been vacated on the platt for 20 years. Tamarack goes west 100 feet from Bluejay Ave and ends at the beginning of my property.

Rentals are from Sat. at 3 pm until sat at 10 am in the summer, except for the week before labor day which is Sat; till Fri. at a reduced rate.

From I-127 take the south Higgins Lake exit, go east 4.5 miles until you go down a hill, then turn left on Bluejay Ave go to tamarack and turn left, go 100 feet and that is the beginning of my property and the end of Tamarack Ave.

Our Higgins Lake vacation house has everything you need to feel right at home and our destination has just about every activity you could ever want to try with friends and loved ones. 1200 to 1950 dollars per week in the summer. July and August are 1950 per week except the last week of Aug which is 1250 dollars for 6 days. June is less, but depends on the week.
winter rates are about 800 dollars per week.

We three middle-aged women truly enjoyed this cottage. Plenty of room in the bedrooms to move about. Not at all cramped, dingy, or musty as I've experienced in other rentals. We found clean, modern bathrooms and kitchen; refrigerator was spotless! We brought our own sheets, but cupboards are loaded with plenty of bath-towels, sheets, and blanket-throws for your beds and yourselves (while watching TV). Beds were as good as home: not very aged and no lumps. And the property location at the end of the road made for very quiet stay.

We had a wonderful week at Higgins Lake. Our whole family came ranging from 8 months to 92 years. Very comfortable accommodations and clean! What a pleasure to get up each morning and watch the lake from the deck! My grandchildren delighted in playing at the beach and the sandy bottom lake! The shallow water is great for little ones to walk and play. My 92 year old mother-in-law particularly enjoyed sitting out on the patio down by the lake watching her great-grandchildren in the water!

Christmas in Michigan

Lovely cabin on the lake! Everything as advertised, and clean as a whistle. Very well equipped, and well maintained. Would highly recommend this property, and would certainly rent it again.

One trifling detail, scissors would be helpful. Found ourselves wrapping presents on Christmas Eve without a pair. Oops! :-)

We had a great time!

My kids, my ex-husband/friend Roger, had a great time time during our stay at John's cottage on Higgins Lake. On the way up we were all a little bit nervous, coming all the way up from Cleveland and all, but once we got here, we knew we were going to have a great time - and we were right! We couldn't believe how colorful the lake was, and the temperature, well, it was perfect! We sunbathed on the dock, and even made homemade blueberry pies over the fire one night. The kids were in heaven, and well, this was just what they needed after a hard year at school. But mostly, it was just what Roger and I needed, after our long work days in the laboratory. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
