Goult Villa Rental Photos and Description
4 Bedrooms, 4 Bathrooms, Sleeps 8, Luberon, Goult
Les Ceps, in the heart of the Luberon in Provence represents everything that makes the region revered. Beautifully landscaped gardens with mature olive, plane, quince and fig trees and redolent with lavender and climbing roses touch on limestone walls bordering a rustic gravel road with vineyards beyond. The Luberon Mountains rise from the valley in the mid distance. It’s a landscape that serves as poetry.
The ancient fortified hill town of Goult is only one and a half miles away, about a 30 min. stroll, and it is a true gem of Provence. One of the lesser known historic towns in the Luberon region, it has been restored with exquisite care and retains the uniqueness of its ancient roots. Limestone houses, narrow lanes (some built of solid rock) arched passages, ancient doors and a buttressed Romanesque church with clock tower, all beautifully preserved. Wonderful restaurants, cafes and quaint shops add to its quiet appeal.
Les Ceps is wonderfully suited to enjoy the outdoors and the view. A courtyard off the main living area provides a shady spot to enjoy food and the landscape. Another courtyard containing an ancient well sits off to the side and offers a quiet spot to sit and look over the lawn toward the sunset. The lower terrace houses a six meter by twelve meter pool as well as a stone pool house covered in vines.
The interior of the house has been professionally decorated in such a way as to preserve its authenticity. Locally mined limestone floors, restored plaster walls and open beamed ceilings create the ambiance of a Provençal farm house. Filled with fine art and antiques, the villa is comfortable and gracious yet retains a full measure of rural charm.
The large living room on the main floor opens directly onto the main courtyard through French doors and a comfortable floral print sofa and chairs border a fireplace. A bright, fully equipped gourmet kitchen with modern appliances offers the feel of a homey country kitchen. The adjacent dining room seats eight around an antique table. A quiet study with an antique desk overlooks the courtyard.
Les Ceps is gracious, comfortable and set in a stunningly beautiful backdrop of fields, vineyards and mountains. Its charm and authenticity will make every moment spent in Provence a memory to be cherished.

Once again a wonderful stay at Les Ceps.
We were in heaven and really appreciated the manager's extra client service regarding the internet. We always feel very much at home at the house.
If you would like me to give the house a star rating it would obviously be a clear 5!
