However, this is only part of the sophisticated villa’s charm. Outside the villa a distinctive pink-granite pool, looking as if it were transported from the Seychelles, is surrounded by a variety of seating and lounging opportunities, as well as a pool house with its own bathroom and outdoor shower. A huge plant-covered terrace includes a fully furnished lounge area and a dining area under a shaded pergola for enjoying meals al-fresco, for up to 12 people. Three gazebos are found among the gardens.
The villa itself is actually composed of two adjacent villas, two stories each, with interiors that combine modern design with furniture of different styles collected from all over the world. A professional kitchen’s tempting output can be supplemented by an outdoor wood-burning pizza oven and a barbecue. A wine cellar also aids in the cause of meals and relaxation. The consistency of showers and baths are guaranteed by a continuous hot pressurized water supply.
Only three minutes away by foot is the historic medieval town of Pietrasanta, known as the “City of the Artists” or “Small Athens” for its marble studios and monuments (Michelangelo used it as a source of marble for his sculptures). It’s not a hill town so is ideal for strolling to enjoy galleries and exhibits in the historic center, or to go to shops and restaurants.
