Blending the comforts of an indoor sanctuary with the tranquility of the mountain atmosphere, this two level home is designed with plenty of space for relaxation. From the kitchen to the dining area to the two great rooms, the open, yet intimate layout provides the perfect atmosphere for entertaining friends and family.
We are located within a short driving distance to the gateway of three national parks, five national monuments, a renowned national recreational area, two state parks, two national forests, several lakes, and unlimited outdoor activities. In the winter you can enjoy snow skiing at Brian Head, or directly from the property cross country skiing (snowshoeing) and snowmobiling. In the summer you can explore Dixie National Forest by hiking, biking, horseback riding or all terrain vehicle on the hundreds of miles of mapped trails. For the avid fisherman you can catch trophy trout in the nearby lakes, ponds, and streams. From the numerous sweeping decks of the home you can observe many species of wildlife, including mule deer, elk, and wild turkeys that visit the onsite pond as well as star gazing at night. For those that don’t mind the additional driving distance, you can visit Las Vegas (220 miles), north end of the Grand Canyon (110 miles) and Lake Powell (100 miles).
Large windows provide views of secluded meadows with a back drop of bryce canyon. The upper great room has 20 foot ceilings with a commanding fireplace that comfortably seats 12 people. The lower great room overlooks the sweeping valley floor and has seating for up to 8 people. The home has three (3) fireplaces and state of the art control 4 av system throughout with four (4) large flat panel tv’s, directtv satellite, dvd, and ipod station. The game room has a 70 inch tv theater, pinball machine, shuffle board, and xbox360 system and high-speed dsl internet with wifi. The large separate office has a built in desk, printer and reading chairs.
Just outside the lower level, enjoy the sweeping views of bryce canyon, dixie national forest, paunsaugant cliffs, and brian head as you relax by the large gas fire pit or in the 10-12 person built-in salt water hot tub.
For the chef at heart, there is a fully equipped kitchen, commercial gas earthstone pizza oven, double conventional ovens, warming draws, ice maker, and various other high end appliances, including a wine refrigerator. Off of the kitchen deck you will find a large gas bar-b-q grill and meat smoker.
For the horse lover, guests can board there horses in our large 1.5 acre sand corral, 4 enclosed stables, and/or 5 acre fenced grass pasture (additional fees apply).
There is an international airport in las vegas and salt lake city. Cedar city has a regional airport. Las vegas, salt lake city, and cedar city are accessible through interstate 15. Elk ridge estates is located at the junction of sr14 and sr89. This fantastic estate is just a 36 mile scenic drive up i-14 to cedar mountain. If coming up sr14 through cedar city go past duck creek, swains creek, harris flat, and stout canyon. Make a left turn just after the 'dixie national forest sign' (1.3 miles past stout canyon exit). Make your first right turn on manitoban trail and we are on the left with the large log entry system that says '3 little bears'.
