Amazing Time!

Tom's house in Hermosa was an absolute GEM in the middle of one of the most beautiful beaches on the west coast. The location was excellent - a 30 second walk to the beach and a 5 minute stroll to all of the shops and restaurants on Pier avenue.
The house is on a quiet street, lined mostly with families with younger children. However, they seemed pretty tolerant of noise from our group of thirty-somethings so the house would be great for a variety of different renters. The best feature of the house itself is no doubt the prized front yard with lots of fun spaces including a brick gas firepit, multiple sinks, gas grill, a draped cabana, outside shower, and a very cool hidden cove with a lighted hot tub. It is well landscaped with bamboo walls, fencing. THE PICTURES ON THIS LISTING DON'T DO IT JUSTICE!. Inside of the house is tastefully decorated with a larger master bedroom and large bathroom and two small bedrooms - one with two twin beds and one with a queen. Those rooms share another basic full bathroom. All the bathrooms were stocked with nice hotel-like toiletries, toothbrushes, and more. House amenities include plenty of surfboards, boogie boards, two bicycles, beer pong table, and more.
Tom, the owner, was awesome to deal with and very responsive. I was a bit skeptical at first about sending a deposit over the internet with no rental agreement, but everything worked out perfectly. We met a couple of Tom's friends who stopped by the house and they were awesome as well. One hung out with us for a while on the first night by the firepit and then left a wonderful gift basket for us the second day with fruit, snacks, and drinks. I didn't think that kind of hospitality existed on the west coast.
Parking is a normally a huge issue in Hermosa but the house includes a small garage which you can fit two small to medium size cars back to back, and one parking pass to park on the street. Tom was out town the weekend we stayed but was accessible if we needed anything and his local friends offered to help as well.
All-in-all this ended up exceeding our expectations and I would definately stay here again.
