House, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 9)

This lovely year-round home is located at 3492 Sandy Beach Drive – one mile from town, Wegmans, and the NY Wine & Culinary Center. With only a 5 minute walk to CMAC performing arts center you can enjoy big-time entertainment without the hassle of parking!

Due to a pipe break last spring, the entire house was recently renovated. The kitchen has new appliances. cupboards and granite countertops. The entire first floor has new bamboo flooring, a fresh coat of paint and new windows. Upstairs there is a new bathroom with a double sink vanity and bathtub/shower. New carpeting in the hallway and two of the four bedrooms.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed and with a wall of windows facing the lake, you can have morning coffee in bed and enjoy the sunrise. Second bedroom has a queen bed, third has a full bed and the fourth has two bunk beds, one traditional and one with a full size down, single up. There is one bathroom on the second floor and one on the first floor.

The downstairs living quarters consist of a great room with windows and french doors that face the lake. There is a large back patio for grilling and eating out.

The lake is has a sandy bottom (that’s why “Sandy Beach”) and is perfect for swimming and playing in the water. The dock includes a wide platform at the end for swimming, fishing, or sunbathing. It also has a boat lift if you want to bring a boat or rent one at any of the local marinas.

There are many fun things to do in the area: Sonnenburg Gardens, Wine tours, CMAC Amphitheater, Roseland Water Park, Bristol Mountain Ski Center, Fingerlakes Racetrack/casino, and there are several good golf courses within a short drive.

The house is located on the East side of the lake one mile south of Canandaigua. You’ll enjoy all afternoon sun and watch spectacular sunsets. The yard is level and perfect for outdoor games. There is a fire pit so if relaxing by a campfire is what you want, we have that as well.

About The Owner

We both grew up near the Finger Lakes and spent time with our families on Canandaigua Lake. We love it here!

The Owner purchased this house in 2002
Why The Owner chose Canandaigua

We love this part of the lake so much that the only way we would move was to find one in the same area, which we did this past winter. Our new place is only a couple dozen houses north! You can see our new place from the dock at this property.

What makes this house unique

Proximity to town and attractions is the best! Don't waste time in your car!!! The sandy bottom of the lake in this area makes it perfect for fun and games in the water. It's not very deep in this area so the water has a chance to warm up and make swimming comfortable. The neighbors are friendly and the road is private.

Perfect place to relax.

Although our time was short (only two days), we had the perfect time staying here. All our needs were provided for--the kitchen is spacious and cute, the family area comfy, the firepit was a blast and the beds were great. We would definitely stay again--just have to convince my childhood friends to come all the way back over here from Australia!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Sandy Beach. The home was extremely comfortable for 8 adults. It was clean, well maintained, & very welcoming.
We highly recommend this home for families, an adult get-away weekend, or anyone looking to relax.
We've already told our friends & family if they need a place to vacation, Sandy Beach is for them. We will be back! :)
