About Jim Wilson

Karen Love and Jim Wilson bought this duplex while engaged to be married. (Karen was renting the unit.) We used it as a get-a-way initial, then we moved to the area permanently. In-Laws used it seasonally, till they moved to the area. 21 yrs, and 5 kids later, we are sharing it with others.

Very pleasant overall experience

Charming house located only steps from the gorgeous beach and canals. Well furnished ,offered everything that a small family with a dog needed. We would like to extend our stay and/ or definitely to come back .

Enjoyable stay

Our stay was amazing. Listing description was accurate. The property was very clean. The owner was friendly and always available. The beach is just a few steps away. Everything was perfect and I can't find one thing to complain about. I would recommend the place and property to everyone. Thank you Jim.

Perfect beach retreat!

Jim's rental was the perfect girls get-a-way. Parking was a plus, the apartment was very clean, and comfortable. Perfect location for dining out, ordering in, and best of all, no driving required for that occasional happy hour. The short walk to the beach only enhanced our two week stay, making us feel part of the quaint neighborhood. I would highly recommend this unit, it certainly deserves a 5 star rating, and I think it would be the perfect vacation for families, friends, or couples.

Great stay! Clean! Great owner!

First of all...Jim was a pleasure and by far the best owner we have dealt with-ever! He thought of everything to make our stay perfect for us...from bikes and toys for the kids to a bigger table to accommodate our family of FIVE! Jim had said that the place was "small"...and I was a little worried about that...with three kids and 2 adult & the cheap price!(we are all about a good deal but this seemed too good to be true) It was actually PERFECT and we had plenty of room! He even provided an air mattress for our littlest one to sleep on!

We drove from Virginia (long, long drive but worth it) and Jim had the place ready and keys waiting on us long before we arrived!

You can tell that this rental is really cared for and that Jim cares for his guests!

We enjoyed the very short walk to the beach everyday and sitting out on the deck in the evenings. We enjoyed listening to a great band that played almost each night at one of the restaurants a few steps down from us...from the comfort of the deck. The small grocery store is maybe a 1 minute walk and a must! We grilled some great kabobs from there. There is Circle K steps away that we used for small things like ice cream or icee drinks. Laundry is less than a 1 min walk. Gennaros is a great place to get pizza for take out and it is also less than a minute walk. Everything was just perfect!

The beach is amazing! We saw dolphins, stingrays, a manatee, horseshoe crab and a random jelly fish and lots of beautiful shells were collected...all just steps from this amazing property! You will not be disappointed if you stay here!!

We stayed 1 week. FAMILY of 5- kids ages: 2,11, and 16.

Is this real life?

This was our first time to Pass A Grille Beach (per a recommendation from my mother) and we came across this LOVELY place for rent and couldn't believe how reasonable the prices were and how nice the place seemed. It almost seemed too good to be true.....

And guess what? It was even BETTER then what we expected! Jim the owner is so easy to work with and made the whole reservation process so easy. The place was impressively clean and inviting. Two bedrooms that are great size and a nice living room with a large flat screen. And I have to mention the towels.... SO AWESOME!!! haha!! We loved the deck and grill as well, as it was perfect to just sit and relax on those lazy summer nights. There is a convenient store (called 'The Circle K') that is literally 50 steps away for everything you may need, as well as great restaruants (The Sea Critter) and a local market (Shaners) that has had the best food-to-go in all of Pass A Grille. The free beach rides were so nice as well because we decided not to rent a car while we were down there. The beach is not even a half block away and the next thing you know you're stepping onto the Gulf.

So the point is: location is perfect. Price is right. Property is well cared for and nice. What are you waiting for?

Immaculate!!

I rented this apartment for a girls' getaway and could not have been happier!! It is beautifully and comfortable furnished and has everything you could possibly need provided by the owner. We contributed two inflatable innertubes for beach fun!! Lots of restaurants within walking distance and a mini-mart and small grocery just a block away. Off-street parking was a plus, in fact the car barely moved the entire week! Would definitely rent here again!! Thanks Jim!!
