The pretty beach side resort Caños de Meca is right in the center of the Costa de la Luz, the quiet alternative to the busy Costa del Sol. It's one hour south of Cádiz and one hour north of the Rock, Gibraltar. The house is in a quiet part of the resort called Cabo de Trafalgar, Cape of Trafalgar, site of the legendary sea battle. From there endless beaches stretch up to Conil and further. Left of the lighttower is where the kite-surfe meet. Behind the house is a famous huge natural park full of pine trees and paths for the arduous hiker, mountain biker or horse rider. The West of Andalucía boasts many attractions from the nearby Vejer de la Frontera (12 km) to the mountains and the beautiful cities of Sevilla and Jerez which you could visit on a day trip. From the nearby town of Tarifa you can even take a speed boat to Morocco. You find a small shop on the way to the lighthouse, but the supermarkets and the fresh vegetable and fish market are in the nearby town of Barbate (8km).
