My friends and I enjoyed an ideal week of reconnecting and adventure, using Hy-Hopes as our home base. The house is spacious, luxurious, and perfectly set up for a group of singles and couples. Kevin and Billie provide a wonderful orientation to the house and the area, and everything worked and turned out just as they said it would. The house was centrally located to everything we wanted to do, from hiking, to mountain biking, to hot air ballooning, to horseback riding, to yoga, to shopping to ... you name it! We also loved long hours by the pool, hot tub, and fire pits -- especially at sunrise and sunset. Several in our group pronounced this the "Best. Vacation. Ever." I could not recommend Hy-Hopes more highly.
What a magical getaway! Exquisitely decorated and furnished, this Hacienda has it all and is definitely something to be experienced. As a Psychologist looking for the "Ultimate Spiritual Retreat", I was amazed by this location which immerses you in art indoors and stunning natural beauty outdoors. Totally conducive to inner peace and tranquility, there a several places on the property that allow you to be alone and just simply meditate. We woke up every morning to energizing sunrises and said good night to spectacular star-
studded skies. Also a great place to run/walk, with stunning vistas at every turn just outside of the house. We look forward to returning to Hy Hopes as a regular home away from home.
This home and our visit was amazing. There was ample bedrooms that offered seclusion and shared space that offered plenty of time to hang out with friends. We used all three patios during different times of the day. The area was very peaceful and provided beautiful views of the red rocks and stars. We found plenty of hiking trails nearby and enjoyed exploring Sedona as a whole.
I can't say enough about the accommodations and magic of the area. This is definitely a destination to be enjoyed by several couples or smaller intimate gathers. We couldn't have asked for more. It takes a lot to put me away from San Diego, this home and Sedona were PERFECT and fulfilled EVERY vacation desire!
No words to describe the beauty of this home and its energies. I had the pleasure of experiencing this spectacular home with 4 of my childhood friends (since 2yrs old ) now in our late 50s trying to exhale.I have traveled to Sedona on multiple occasions and have stayed at top rated resorts such as the Enchantment , but never experienced this inner peace . Upon arrive Kevin gave as a phone tour which was so informative as well as personalized , much nicer then reading a note. Five ladies traveling we had lots of questions which Kevin patiently answered and starred us in the right directions. The home had 3 large outdoor areas with fantastic views of the red rocks which were all mesmerizing .We took Kevin's advice sunrise morning coffee front courtyard with water fall, evening sunset outside living room with the fire pit, night star gazing in the hot tub. PARADISE ! The home was way beyond our expectations each room had a unique high end southwestern decor . Location was great walking distance to uptown restaurants and shops.
The only draw back was one week was not enough. We definitely will be back
I high recommend all to experience this fabulous home .
We stayed at Kevin and Billie's home for a week. We are a family of four with two boys ages 14 and 12. This was our first trip to this area. The home is amazing and truly felt like a home.
The deck area with pool, hot tub, fire pit and grill was so inviting and was a huge hit with all of us. We spent a lot of family time hanging out there and the view of the stars at night was amazing. We ate almost every night in...the kitchen is well appointed and enjoyed eating on the patio enjoying the views. And quiet!!! It is such a quiet and beautiful neighborhood! Our first morning there we went for a walk to explore the area...all beautiful.
During the week we were there, we had some wind guts in the evening and the pool was dirty the next day. We called Jim, the maintenance man, who is great and he came out right a way to clean it up for us. Jim also walked us through the house when we first arrived and answered any questions we had. Very helpful!
Having not been to Sedona before, Kevin was so helpful in helping us plan our week. He gave great suggestions on things to do and places to eat. Per Kevin's advice, we took the Pink Jeep tours. Not one but two..they are a great way to see a lot and get educated on the area. We hiked to Devil's bridge which all but one of us walked out on....breathtaking!
We spent a day at the Grand Canyon. An easy 2 hour drive and a must do is to eat at the El Tovar hotel while you are there. Great food and much history! We also enjoyed the Crescent Moon Recreational area and all swam in Oak Creek. Rock Slide park was closed when we were there but that would be a must see to if you are there.
We would highly recommend this stay to anyone coming to the Sedona area. And there is so much to do in the area.
Our family had the privilege of staying at Kevin and Billie's Hy Hopes Hacienda in May. We were ecstatic with the tastefully decorated interior and absolutely breathtaking views from the large pool deck and patio as well as just about every room in the house. The layout of the house was perfect for our entire family allowing plenty of room for everyone with more than adequate bedrooms and bathrooms. The amenities from the kitchen to the baths were top notch. The house is situated high on a hill in a quiet neighborhood providing a very quiet and peaceful setting affording the most spectacular views of the surrounding red rocks. From virtually every room stunning vistas added to the warmth of the home. In addition to the main pool patio, two additional patios off the main living room provided additional opportunities to take in the red rock views or just relax in a very peaceful and quiet setting. Natural gas fire pits in two of the patios provided a relaxing evening experience to talk about the days adventures or just view the stars under a clear Sedona sky.
Hiking and the many trails in Sedona are minutes from the house. We chose to hike the Devil’s Bridge trail and were amazed with the landscape . The views at Devil’s Bridge are spectacular and a walk on the “bridge” will probably raise your adrenaline level, at least it did ours.
We also took a one day trip to Lake Powell in Page, Arizona per Kevin’s suggestion. We rented a houseboat for a day to explore this beautiful lake. The landscape, towering cliffs and red rocks in Navajo Canyon were awe inspiring. We would recommend this trip to anyone vacationing in Sedona.
Our trip also included trips to the Grand Canyon and Jerome, both well worth the time.
We would rate this home and experience at the top of our list of vacation destinations. Kevin and Billie were extremely accommodating and very easy to work with. The house is well maintained and provisioned and provides virtually everything most any family would need for an enjoyable vacation experience. We hope we can return sometime in the very near future. Thanks Kevin and Billie for providing our family with a wonderful vacation experience that we will never forget.
