What a remarkable place. The fly fishing was great. ATV's were a blast and the scenery was spectacular. Gourmet kitchen and huge decks and patios.

Magnificent

This was our 14th family vacation in a row and it was the best. The place had plenty of room for the 3 generations of 14 people and the kids had a great time. It was great for the very active and for those that wanted to sit, read and relax. The activities were many from the ATV's, horses, pool, fishing pond, mountain biking and hiking to ridding the white water rafts and doing the triple Shoshone or just relaxing at the Hot Springs and fishing the many great streams and rivers. The hosts were very cordial and helpful. The 10 days that we spend there were not enough. We found a polish restaurant Polonia in Glenwood Springs that was great and in Carbondale the best pizza at the White House.

One of our best vacations!

We had a fabulous week at the High Aspen Ranch. Each day was filled with fun activities, biking, hiking, rafting, horseback riding, fishing, tennis and exploring the ranch on ATV s. The owners made us feel so welcome from the moment we stepped foot on the ranch. We were a group of 18 and we were all very comfortable at the ranch. In the evenings, we enjoyed watching the elk in the distance as the sun set over the ridge from the spacious patio. On our final day, we rode the horses and ATV s up to the top of the mountain to a beautiful picnic. The view was breath taking. We are already looking forward to our visit next summer!

Wonderful!

Our family spent one wonderful week in this magnificent home on the "ranch" and a great time was had by all! We had three generations in our group and there was something for everyone in the way of activities - from horseback riding to simply sitting out and enjoying the beauty of nature that surrounds it. As far as comfort, it had it all and we hope to be able to return again next year!

Ther best vacation we have ever taken.

Everything was wonderful from the moment we entered the driveway. We pre-ordered our groceries, had a fabulous lunch out on the deck and went on a great hike on the property through Oso Canyon.
The Ranch manager took us four wheeling. A worldclass fly- fishing guide, took us fly fishing on the ranch. We also went horseback riding.
We went into town and had a wonderful dinner, but we really would have been happy just to stay at the ranch.
We will never forget this memorable vacation.

Owner's Response: You were there at a beautiful time, nature's beautiful wild flowers everywhere and baby deer and elk in the meadow with their mothers.
Elk Haven Ranch is a four season paradise. You will have to return in the wintertime for a winter wonderland experience of snowmobiling on the trails and a peaceful snowshoe hike.
