WELCOME TO THE DISTINCTIVE COTTAGE COLLECTION ON WEST ISLAND AND SCONTICUT NECK PRESENTED BY HOWE ALLEN REALTY.

Ram’s View at West Island is a two bedroom home with wonderful ocean views. Just a short walk to five beaches, this home has a full kitchen, cable TV, Wifi and a charming decor.

A queen-sized bed and large closet are in the master bedroom, two twin beds are in the guest room. There is an additional sleeping loft with a futon for additional sleeping. The open-concept great room is perfect for family gatherings and offers pleasant water views. A large yard is ideal for BBQs and there is access across the street to a private sandy beach.

A large bathroom offers tub/shower combination and there is a washer and dryer for your use.

A little information about the area:

West Island is one of the South Coast's best kept secrets. Located in Buzzard's bay, this small residential-only Island offers the visitor and resident peace and quiet or access to any number of action-packed pursuits.

Over half the island is State Conservation land offering many nature trails, wildlife viewing and truly impressive vistas. There are several choices for ocean access; the protected water (bayside) beach or the Buzzard's Bay beach (voted the #3 town beach in all of New England).

Originally farmland, the past two centuries have seen West Island gradually change to a vacation destination for locals who know what a gem they have so close to home. It is not uncommon to meet others during your stay who have been vacationing here for decades or who's family has owned the same home for nearly a century.

While maintaining its charm, West Island has also kept pace with technology. City Water and Sewer, high-speed internet, satellite television are just some of the amenities you will find while on our island.

Within 4 miles you will find two large supermarket chains, department stores as well as other well-known chain establishments. West Island is a mere 60 minutes from Boston, 45 minutes from Newport and under half an hour from the Bourne or Sagamore bridges.

Rental Rates for this vacation cottage rental in Fairhaven, Massachusetts

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency () unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

  • All weeks in May, June and Sept. $1000. All weeks July and August $1200
  • All weeks October - April $750. All rentals are Saturday to Saturday.
  • Damage waiver required in lieu of security deposit. Pets with Prior Approval.
  • $100 cleaning fee per rental period.
  • 10% discount for multiple week rentals when booked together.

Great place for a last-minute late fall getaway. We could not have asked for better and faster communication from the rental agent, Howe Allen, who made our desire to spend Thanksgiving weekend in the New Bedford area a reality. Curley's Cove is a wonderful little cottage, comfortable for our family of three, with a queen-sized bed, a double bed and a futon in three cozy bedrooms. West Island offers wonderful scenic walks and biking and a beautiful beach. It is an easy 15 minute drive to the outstanding exhibits at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, and just a little further to Buttonwood Zoo.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
