Game room offers a full-size pool table and air hockey. The screened-in pool deck is charmingly landscaped and private, with a rock waterfall. The pool and spa are both heatable.
The house is very conveniently located near major routes US Route 27 and I-4, which lead to Disney World and Epcot in 15-20 minutes and to Champion's Gate or Southern Dunes golf course in 10 minutes. Numerous stores and restaurants are minutes away. At the same time the neighborhood is a quiet oasis, great for relaxing afternoons by the pool.
Amenities: The house has three bedrooms on the first floor and two on the second floor, which will give you options on how to arrange your family or group. First floor: queen and full masters (ensuite bathrooms) and a twin with jack-and-jill bathroom; second floor: full bedroom with balcony and jack-and-jill bathroom, and another twin room. Mattresses are new as of mid-2011.
The living room, game room and den on first floor and lounge area on second floor provide room to spread out when you are hanging out in the house. The den has an activity table and two chairs for younger children.
On the pool deck are a dining table and another smaller table, as well as lounge chairs and stackable chairs. The pool is west-facing and pool doors have alarms for child safety.
The kitchen is fully equipped, with dishes, silverware, drinkware, pots and pans, baking pans, round pizza pan, and many cooking and serving utensils, along with pitchers, blender, coffee maker and teapot.
Stores: Shopping for food and household items is easy from our location. Publix supermarket and CVS and Walgreen's drug stores are a mile away on Route 27 south, and Walmart and Lowe's are just a few minutes farther. Posner Park mall on Route 27 north is less than a mile away and has many stores, including Target, JCPenney, Ross, Dick's Sporting Goods, Staples, Best Buy and Books A Million bookstore.
Orlando's Prime Outlets and Premium Outlets will excite serious shoppers. The Florida Mall in Orlando, Central Florida's largest mall, has 250 stores including top name department stores.
Restaurants: There is a variety of restaurants along Route 27, including Santa Fe Cattle Company for barbecue and Cracker Barrel for down home cooking going north and Crispers for delicious healthy choice going south.
Attractions: DIsney World, Epcot, Universal Studios, and Sea World are the big magnets for many travelers. Gator Land in Orlando has hundreds of resident alligators and birds with frequent special shows. Legoland Florida opened in Oct. 2011 in Winter Haven, less than half an hour from the house.
For a more low-key day for adults, visit the Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales, with its historic bell tower and other structures and gardens designed by Frederick Law Olmstead. The Morse Museum in Winter Park, north off I-4, is a gem with an awesome collection of works by Louis Comfort Tiffany.
Going west an hour or so is Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, with its rides and zoo. Going east an hour or so is Cocoa Beach on the Atlantic, and north along the coast, Cape Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center.
Nearby golf courses include Championsgate and Ridgewood Lakes in Davenport, Southern Dunes and Diamondback in Haines City, and Eaglebrooke in Lakeland.
