This two-story former builder’s model is stylish and comfortable and has a lot of amenities! It is clean and well kept, with many recent upgrades including major kitchen appliances, TVs and mattresses. The interior of the house and the pool deck were painted in Dec. 2013.
Our house is very conveniently located near major routes US Route 27 and I-4, which lead to Disney World and Epcot in about 15-20 minutes and to Champion's Gate or Southern Dunes golf course in 10 minutes. By staying at our house, you can avoid periodic traffic jams on Route 192 going to Disney.
Numerous stores and restaurants are minutes away from our house. At the same time the neighborhood is a quiet oasis, great for relaxing afternoons by the pool.
Free high-speed Wi-Fi and cable and free US phone calls are provided. The living room has a large wall-mounted HD TV and a Blu-ray player. Bedrooms have flat screen/HD TVs, ceiling fans, chairs, luggage and quilt racks, and clock radios.
The game room offers a full-size pool table and an air hockey table.
Our house has a beautiful pool deck with palm trees right outside the screened enclosure. The pool has a rock waterfall. The pool and spa are both heatable. Spa heat is free all year round and pool heat is free during the colder months.
Amenities: The kitchen is fully equipped. Dishes and silverware serve 12. A variety of drinkware is available, including water and wine glasses in both glass and plastic versions. Stovetop pots and pans, baking pans, pizza pan, ovenware, and many cooking and serving utensils are provided, along with coffee maker, toaster, blender, pitchers and teapots.
The refrigerator, stove and microwave were replaced with new, updated models in 2012. The refrigerator has a dispenser for ice and filtered water.
The house has three bedrooms on the first floor and two on the second floor. First floor: queen and full master bedrooms (ensuite bathrooms) and a twin with jack-and-jill bathroom. Second floor: full bedroom with balcony and jack-and-jill bathroom, and a twin bedroom. Mattresses were replaced in 2011. A den has an activity table and two chairs for younger children.
The pool deck has a lanai with dining table and chairs. There is a ceiling fan with lights above the table in the lanai. The pool is west-facing and pool doors have alarms for child safety.
Stores: Shopping for food and household items is easy from our location. Publix supermarket and CVS and Walgreen's drug stores are a mile away on Route 27 south, near Heart of Florida hospital. Walmart and Lowe's are just a few minutes farther. Posner Park mall on Route 27 north is less than a mile away and has many stores, including Target, JCPenney, Ross, Dick's Sporting Goods, Staples, Best Buy and Books A Million bookstore.
Orlando's Prime Outlets and Premium Outlets will excite serious shoppers. The Florida Mall in Orlando, Central Florida's largest mall, has 250 stores including top name department stores.
Restaurants: There is a variety of restaurants along Route 27, including pizza restaurants, Santa Fe Cattle Company and Sonny's for barbecue, and Cracker Barrel for down home cooking.
Attractions: DIsney World, Epcot, Universal Studios, and Sea World are easily reachable via nearby I-4. Gatorland in Orlando has hundreds of resident alligators and birds with frequent special shows. Legoland Florida is in Winter Haven, less than half an hour from our house.
Distances to attractions: Disney World: 14 miles/16 minutes, Epcot Center: 18 miles/22 minutes, Sea World: 19 miles/20 minutes, Universal Orlando Resort: 23 miles, 24 minutes, Legoland Florida: 20 miles/27 minutes, Gatorland Orlando: 22 miles/24 minutes.
For a more low-key day for adults, visit the Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales, with its historic bell tower and other structures and gardens designed by Frederick Law Olmstead. The Charles Morse Museum in Winter Park, north off I-4, is a gem with an awesome collection of works by Louis Comfort Tiffany.
The area abounds in top golf courses. Nearby golf courses include Championsgate and Ridgewood Lakes in Davenport, Southern Dunes and Diamondback in Haines City, and Eaglebrooke in Lakeland.
Going west an hour or so is Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, with its rides and zoo. Going east an hour or so is Cocoa Beach on the Atlantic, and north along the coast, Cape Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center.
