The Hart-Featherston House is the second-oldest home in Lexington and is RICH with history! It has been completely restored and provides character that is not found ANYWHERE! Combining modern luxuries with the comforts that only historical homes can provide, the house sits on 1.24 acres and has seven fireplaces, custom paint throughout, 11' ceilings, and the restorations are too many to list. A minimum 2-day rental comes with free WiFi throughout, satellite TV, full array of kitchen appliances and dishware, Jacuzzi tub in 1st floor bathroom, Queen beds in all three bedrooms with an additional bedroom that is available upon request, and a large fenced-in yard (1.24 acres) that is perfect for get-together or events. Only minutes away from restaurants, shopping, equestrian events, malls, and golfing.
So many beautiful bedrooms and fireplaces! We could not make up our mind between the first floor master and the upstairs suite. We ended up sleeping downstairs but also trying out both the gorgeous downstairs master bath with tub AND the modern glass shower upstairs. The dining room was so pretty and we loved reading about the history of the home. Daniel Boone MAY have slept there!
A perfect week in the horse capital of the world !
Loved the personality of the home from the porch where you can listen to nature while drinking your coffee to the kitchen with all the amenities for a chef.
The details through out that make you feel like you walking back in time but with modern day comforts.
So close to downtown Lexington and Keenland
Left feeling rejuvenated and so relaxed ! Will be back soon.
Thank you !
The Hart-Featherston House is the second oldest home in Central Kentucky, built by Nathaniel Hart in the late 1700s, and is close to everything Lexington has to offer! Whether you are coming to town for one of the numerous equestrian events, or just wanting to escape a busy lifestyle, this short-term rental can provide you with the quiet solace you need! Just a few miles from Keeneland Racetrack, Red Mile Racetrack, and Kentucky Horse Park, this location provides you a central location. The Hart-Featherston House is only minutes from downtown Lexington, which contains several local breweries and a very active nightlife. Rupp Arena is a mere six miles away and if you have not visited the shops and restaurants in the Chevy Chase area, it is a must-see. The Kentucky Bourbon Trail is very accessible, as is the scenic route of winding roads that leads through the large amount of beautiful horse farms all around the area. The old Squire Road has become a widely used hiking/walking/biking trail that begins right next to the driveway. You can enjoy some exercise by walking out the front door! Lexington is only 70 miles from Louisville, 25 miles to Frankfort, 90 miles to Cincinnati, OH, and 130 miles to Knoxville, TN.
