Gorgeous views, wildlife, starry nights, and proximity to Charlottesville
Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful home! We had such a great time. The views here are absolutely amazing! Thank you again and have a wonderful summer.
This rental is by far one of the best places I have stayed in the area. I have stayed here a total of three times, once in May, once in October, and most recently over New Years. Each time of year there is a special beauty to the location. Huge windows facing northwest towards the mountains, large fireplace, wonderful kitchen, and a serene peaceful setting. The location of this house is wonderful - near vineyards and hiking trails, yet just a short drive to Charlottesville. The house is very well maintained and extra cozy - and the owners are very helpful!
This was our second time staying at this home. We loved it so much the first time that we decided to return. The house is still lovely and the pool is great, but there were some issues this time that we did not encounter on our first visit. For starters, even though the rate calendar showed one rate for summer weekends, we were charged much more per night without any explanation. When we brought it up to the owner, she simply stated that rate changes are temporary and not refundable...um what??? The second thing I would like to point out is that this listing states that the house sleeps 6. This is simply not true. On our last stay there was a pull out couch in addition to the two bedrooms, but this has since been replaced with a regular couch. My sister and her husband spent the weekend on two separate couches. Hardly seems reasonable at the price we paid per night. I really enjoyed the house and the surroundings, but I will not return for these reasons.
My friends and I loved our weekend stay at this large, comfortable, and beautiful house. The surrounding areas were quiet and lovely. We were in town for a wedding and the house was perfect for us. Definitely recommended!
Had an amazing weekend stay. Everything from the owner to property manager, this stay was A+! The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed during out stay. We utilized the pool and outside as much as possible as the view from outside is amazing. It was as relaxing as you can get. Not to mention seeing the stars at night from horizon to horizon...Something I've never seen before.
We will be returning to stay here for our future trips! Thanks so much!
This was the Girls Weekend we needed! Relaxing and beautiful home and surroundings. Close enough to C'ville and the wineries to create wonderful memories with great friends. Ruby was great as our arrival was somewhat delayed due to late flights and traffic out of Northern VA. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!
Thoroughly enjoyed this well-equipped country home. Plenty of space for two couples and would be perfect for a family as well. The manager, Ruby, was extremely accommodating and helpful. Only downside (maybe) was no cell service, but owners provide free landline.
We loved the two coffee houses and Crozet Pizza! Also highly recommend visiting Evrona Cheese in Orange County, where there are also wineries and the Madison house. Give them a call for a personal tour! And, of course, don't miss Monticello, Ash Lawn and the Albemarle Baking Company in Charlottesville. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
