Cindy, my partner works at a nursing/rehab facility as an Activity Director. I (Gus) am an accountant. Both of us LOVE to escape to nature. We fish, boat, swim, hunt and hike. Foods on the BBQ just seem to taste better. We LOVE the out of doors- the camp fires, s'mores, memories of & time spent with friends and families. However: we also like to feel clean and 'settled'. Now that we are older we still like 'camping'- but desire the comforts and amenities of a home too.
Gay Ventures purchased this mobile home in 2010
We chose this area because of the year round activities and beauty that surrounds it. The area is simply beautiful. The Wisc Dells is recognized as a premier resort area in the Midwest. Their main attractions are the numerous water parks. I equate the Dells to Las Vegas in that there is SO much stimuli to take in. There is SO much to do and SO much activity that one can become almost dizzy trying to grasp it all. However- the actual physical location of the Wisc Dells, is in a part of WI that has 'Dells' and bluffs, and numerous waterways! The area is rich with beauty, heritage and folklore.
Our second home is just 7 minutes from the hustle, bustle and activities of the Dells which we can partake in as we please. Most of the attractions do NOT require you to stay at their facilities in order to enjoy their offerings. We can acquire passes for the water parks even though we are not staying at their hotels/resorts.
State parks, hiking and ATV/ snowmobile trails are all around us. The bluffs have great 'mountains' for winter skiing and snowboarding. Castle Rock County Park, open year round, is 12 miles from us. This 70 acre park is on the 4th largest body of water in WI. The park has a designated swimming area, and boat launch.
At the end of the day- or 'just because' we can retreat to our sanctuary of calm, peace and tranquility. Our land is 3/4 of an acre- located on a 'cove' of Fawn Lake with oodles of Cattails. Fawn Lake is a non-motorized lake- with excellent fishing (pan-fish). We can clean, cook and eat the fish, all in our yard, while watching the wild-life. The night sky was another attraction for us. The stars are so bright! With all that tranquility and fresh air we sleep VERY sound and restful. The home is complete with all amenities can be used year-round. This means we can use the home for hunting, skiing, snowmobiling too.
Cindy, my partner works at a nursing/rehab facility. Repeatedly she hears that the residents would love a place to vacation (near the Dells)- that is peaceful to retreat to at the end of the day AND allows them to take their pets. Thus: we allow pets. We have an enclosure under the pines in a secluded portion of the back yard for pets. This allows owners to leave the property, and their loved pet behind, with no worries of potential damage to the property.
