This is a great rental unit in a beautiful location.
The listing is accurate regarding the location, and the photos accurately reflect the appearance and the amenities of the the rental property. The unit is very spacious, clean, well maintained, and tastefully decorated. Everything you could possibly need was supplied. The owner is friendly and easy to deal with. She was readily available by text message to answer any questions that we had.
We have an active family, so during the day we would hike, mountain bike, and swim. We'd then come back to the unit, with its large and fully stocked kitchen, make a family meal together, and enjoy watching the sunset from the upper deck.
You do need a vehicle to fully appreciate the area. The beaches in the area are primarily pebble beaches, so beach shoes are a must if you want to do much swimming. You will need at least two days to make a booking for any kind of rental, such as kayaks or mountain bikes, so make your decisions early as to what you would like to do while you are there. Had we been a bit better organized, we would have done a kayaking tour with Halfmoon Sea Kayaks, which was a bit further down the road. And if we had had more time, we would have traveled further up the coastline to Powell River.
The area is also known for its local artists and artisans, so if art or or crafts are of interest, there are lots of places to stop and explore.
Vancouver can be challenging to drive through, so leave yourself lots of time to travel from the airport to the ferry to the unit, and back again.
We would definitely recommend this unit to family and friends, and hope to be back sometime.
