Bring the boat! Drive-on boat lift offers instant water access to Tampa Bay, the Gulf of Mexico and beyond! Get your 'island vibe' in our three bedroom, two bath home with relaxed tropical style on quiet Coquina Key. Dine al fresco on the screened lanai or lounge in the sunpatio created from vintage St. Pete pavers. Huge fenced backyard leads you to our deep-water dock on Bonita Bayou. Watch the golden sunsets from our shady lawn. Learn about Florida fauna from a stroll around the yard which is abundant with (young) tropical fruit trees. Fish from the dock or relax in the shade of a hammock chair and watch the dolphin swim by. Incredible seabirds fish off the dock in the ever-changing tides.

Cool off in the bayou or bike to the community pool and tennis courts. Restaurants and entertainment just a few miles to downtown St. Petersburg. Orlando attractions and theme parks are about a 2 hour drive. Hard Rock Casino is about 45 minutes away. After a full day of sightseeing you can chill-out in the shade with a fresh mango margarita.

We are Orlando residents until we retire to our beloved St. Pete.
Teresa Foster purchased this house in 2009
The tropical weather is 'Chamber of Commerce' beautiful and we can grow fragile exotic plants without worry of losing them to frost every winter.
Every Saturday morning, we enjoy riding the bikes to the market for fresh organics. It is a 1.2 mile loop around the bayou...perfect for evening strolls.
We just returned from a fantastic one month stay on Coquina Key, and we very much enjoyed our runaway from the nasty, unrelenting winter. The house was very clean and well equipped with evrything we needed. A fully furnished kitchen and outdoor grill made cooking, staying in and entertaining a pleasure. We also had some GREAT dinners at nearby local restaurants in St. Petersburg and the St. Pete Beach area. (Chattaways in St. Petersburg was one of our favorites. The food is great, reasonable, and the dining experience is fun.)
The large, fenced in yard was perfect for our small dog, and being right on the water was so relaxing. We spent many evenings on the private dock, enjoying a nice bottle of wine, watching a beautiful sunset, AND...we were lucky enough to see dolphins swim by numerous times.
The screened porch overlooking the back yard and water is another great spot to enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast or a grilled dinner and a card or board game afterwards. Books and games are provided by the owners if you forget to bring yours.
The bikes, beach chairs and umbrella are a great idea and a nice touch. These owners have thought of everything! They are friendly and extremely easy to communicate with. They have put a lot of consideration into furnishing this home and have made it your home away from home!
This was our second stay at this home and we enjoyed it even more the second time. We would certainly recommend this property to family and friends. Many thanks to the owners for sharing their lovely, comfortable home with us.
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely waterfront home. It is very comfortable and close to everything. We loved spending time on the dock first thing in the morning drinking coffee and then watching the sunsets with a glass of wine in the evenings! We also enjoyed using the cruiser bikes to tour the neighbourhood most afternoons before dinner. There is a BBQ included so we often made our dinner at home and then drive 4 minutes to downtown St. Petersburg to walk around and see the nightlife. Our dog Joy loved the freedom of having her own fenced in yard. If you are looking for a quiet waterfront home, close to everything, this is the place. The owners are very easy to deal with and were very helpful if we needed anything. Thank you for letting us enjoy your Coquina Key home!
Description and photos were accurate, house clean and well-maintained, the owners were very friendly, accommodating, helpful in answering questions or concerns, and had neighborhood friends who came to take care of the lawn, etc. if owners not available to come themselves. We would recommend this property to friends and relatives, however children and/or pets should be watched closely because of the open water. Because of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge nearby, it was convenient for us and friends who live in FL to often get together with "relatively" little traffic and hassles, and many of St. Pete's attractions were within 5 miles. The rental is in a residential area with a lot of space for walking and riding bikes (including 1.2 miles around the Bayou where house is located, and far beyond). There was a small but convenient shopping area about 1 block away. Some favorite things: Farmers Market every Saturday; The Pier; Dali Museum; Chihuly Collection; the Fourth Street Shrimp Store Restaurant and many others in St. Pete (especially the ones which let us have our dog with us at the outdoor tables); and there were many other things of interest in St. Pete, nearby cities, beaches, etc. which we will explore the next time around when time is on our side again.
