'DOWNTOWN BROWN' - A GREAT TOWNHOUSE A COUPLE BLOCKS TO IT ALL

Salida Townhome Rental Photos and Description

Townhome, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

1903 Brownstone in the heart of downtown Salida. You can not beat the location of this historic townhome- very clean with artistic decor and a sense of humor. Enjoy the shops, restaurants, Arkansas River, farmer's market and festivals. Everything is ''One Block Up, Or One Block Over' - seriously. Is there a wait at Amica's? No worries, go over and get your electronic 'table's ready' beeper and come back to the house for a pre dinner drink- it'll beep when your table is ready. When the day winds down, hang on the stoop and people watch, or relax in the back yard. Fantastic hiking and mountain bike trails right here, with no shuttling necessary. We have a gear room/shed attached to the back of the home, so take those bikes off the rack. The Arkansas River is 2 blocks away- watch or do some kayaking or sunbathe in the eddies. Our chabby chic remodel is very clean, and we made sure to stock it with nice linens and towels. The kitchen is simple but new, and it has everything you need......well the roasting pan may not accomodate a 22 pound turkey (but call us if you need something). We've rented many vacation rentals over the years ourselves, some great and some too scary for words. We know what's most important- we have your back. Salida's a really fun place to hang out and live the Colorado lifestyle. This home is the perfect compliment to that kind of vacation, you'll feel like you were living here not visiting!

Dear Sara & Sean- We had an amazing time staying in your place! We loved the style of the place and the décor. One day we skied and mountain biked on the same day! We love the town of Salida and hope to come back soon.

I am the VP of Ops at Rescue-Essentials. My husband owns and operates Roots, Rights & Interests as a Residential Appraiser. We have an awesome 10 year old that knows more people here than we do. We're laid back and friendly. And we love to play in the Chaffee County.

The Owner purchased this townhome in 1998

This was my first home purchase ever, and I LOVE this house. We had plans drawn up to gut it and do a full remodel. But for now, we decided to aquire additonal space. When I first visited Salida, I'll never forget the way the mountains made me feel when I dropped down into Johnson's Village on 285 for the first time. I vowed to move here and buy a 'little brick house'......and that's just what I did. Offering it as a vacation rental seemed right. Hopefully the people that stay here will get that same feeling.

You are literally a 'Townie' when you stay here. This house and this location paints the picture of what it feels like live here.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

I really enjoyed staying at the Downtown Brown! It is a beautiful home right next to all of the shops in downtown Salida. It's a few blocks (easy walk) to the river too. Our family of four, plus a friend all stayed there very comfortably. Owners are very friendly and responsive too. We loved the place and will definitely be back!

LOVELY TOWNHOUSE

Downtown Brown was perfect! It was walking distance to town and to the river. The townhouse was immaculate and was contained everything we needed to be comfortable. I would stay there again if my travels brought me back to Salida.

A FANTASTIC PLACE TO CALL HOME WHILE IN SALIDA

  • 5 of 5
From start to finish, the renting experience was exceptional. There was great communication in the days before we arrived and throughout our stay. The townhome was comfortable and very well furnished. And best of all, it was close to everything. We were able to walk to the coffee shops in the morning and the restaurants in the evening. Having an offstreet parking also turned out to be an advantage. This was one of our best stays ever.

DOWNTOWN BROWN

  • 5 of 5
We are 3 days away from closing out a 17 day stay at Downtown Brown. Our experience was first rate. The owners were great to work with and very accommodating. Downtown Brown is very nicely furnished and a super convenient location. Beds and pillows very comfortable, super nice towels, good bathroom and a well stocked kitchen. Back yard is very nice and we enjoyed sitting out in the evening. The photos don't do it justice as we were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival.
Highly recommend both Downtown Brown and the town of Salida.

WONDERFUL STAY AT THIS BEAUTIFUL, WELL MAINTAINED AND SUPER CLEAN PROPERTY IN SALIDA

  • 5 of 5
We had an excellent experience with our stay at the property which was so convenient to many restaurants and activities in Downtown Salida. We loved being able to walk a block or two to get to some great restaurants, the river, the movie theater and many shops. We were impressed by how the owners had really done an excellent job maintaining the property as it seemed they had taken care of so many details in every room. The kitchen was well equipped for the one meal we wanted to cook and we appreciated the BBQ grill in the back yard. We also appreciated how clean everything was. We highly recommend this property and wish that every VRBO experience was this wonderful!

This was a wonderful location to celebrate the Fourth of July as the town of Salida does a very nice job with having a hometown celebration including fireworks, bands and a parade.
