1903 Brownstone in the heart of downtown Salida. You can not beat the location of this historic townhome- very clean with artistic decor and a sense of humor. Enjoy the shops, restaurants, Arkansas River, farmer's market and festivals. Everything is ''One Block Up, Or One Block Over' - seriously. Is there a wait at Amica's? No worries, go over and get your electronic 'table's ready' beeper and come back to the house for a pre dinner drink- it'll beep when your table is ready. When the day winds down, hang on the stoop and people watch, or relax in the back yard. Fantastic hiking and mountain bike trails right here, with no shuttling necessary. We have a gear room/shed attached to the back of the home, so take those bikes off the rack. The Arkansas River is 2 blocks away- watch or do some kayaking or sunbathe in the eddies. Our chabby chic remodel is very clean, and we made sure to stock it with nice linens and towels. The kitchen is simple but new, and it has everything you need......well the roasting pan may not accomodate a 22 pound turkey (but call us if you need something). We've rented many vacation rentals over the years ourselves, some great and some too scary for words. We know what's most important- we have your back. Salida's a really fun place to hang out and live the Colorado lifestyle. This home is the perfect compliment to that kind of vacation, you'll feel like you were living here not visiting!

I am the VP of Ops at Rescue-Essentials. My husband is an appraiser for Chaffee County. We have an awesome 8 year old that knows more people here than we do. We're laid back and friendly. And we love to play in the Chaffee County.

The Owner purchased this townhome in 1998

This was my first home purchase ever, and I LOVE this house. We had plans drawn up to gut it and do a full remodel. But for now, we decided aquire additonal space. When I first visited Salida, I'll never forget the way the mountains made me feel when I dropped down into Johnson's Village on 285 for the first time. I vowed to move here and buy a 'little brick house'......and that's just what I did. Offering it as a vacation rental seemed right. Hopefully the people that stay here will get that same feeling.

You are literally a 'Townie' when you stay here. This house and this location paints the picture of what it feels like live here.

Downtown Brown was perfect! It was walking distance to town and to the river. The townhouse was immaculate and was contained everything we needed to be comfortable. I would stay there again if my travels brought me back to Salida.

This was our first VRO experience. Your location is just perfect. We enjoyed our first trip to the Salida area.

What a pleasure it was to live in your home instead of a cramped hotel room. And what fun it was to be here during harvest time in your garden! We loved the tomatoes and squash.

Thanks for putting the air conditioners back in so quickly. The hot weather is sticking around so long this year.

Thank you for letting us stay at your fantastic townhome. After all the days adventures, it was so wonderful to come 'home' and relax.

Salida is beautiful and far mroe than we could have expected. We are going to miss this town.

WOW! We loved your home! We had such a wonderful time being with our daughter at Deer valley. Whenever we vacation, we tend to be on the go... that was not the case this time. We felt so comfortable here and everything was perfect that we spent time here just relaxing! It was so neat! We will definitely come back and pray your home is available. We loved everything.
