This 1400-square foot cottage boasts peaceful semi-wooded setting and an easy 7-minute walk to almost a mile of breathtaking Lake Michigan beach and dunes. Cottage features well-furnished kitchen, deck, spacious 3-season porch, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and microwave. Swim in either Lake Michigan; or in Stony Lake a mile away. Just minutes from championship golf courses, horseback riding, Silver Lake Dunes (7 miles north) , largest amusement park in Michigan, and Hart-Montague Bike Trail. A short drive will take you to everything from roadside fruit & vegetable stands to antique shops to a winery. If you're looking for a private setting near the Lake Michigan shoreline, with easy hiking for miles in either direction, you've found your vacation destination!

Rental period - Check-in Saturday 4p.m., check-out Saturday 10a.m.

$150 Security deposit

This will not be returned if cottage is left unclean. The cabin will be clean when you arrive and must be cleaned by you before you depart.

Cancellation policy: We will refund the weeks rental IF we can re-rent your week, however you will forfeit your deposit if we are unable to fill that week.

No dirt bikes, motorcycles, ATVs or 4-wheelers on the property.

Driving directions: Take US-31 North from Muskegon past Whitehall and Montague. Exit at New Era/Stony Lake Rd (Michigan US-20). Go West about 8 miles to Scenic Drive (also called 16th Ave.) Turn right past Stony Lake and drive about 1 mile to Cobmoosa Shores (The closed Frontier Village Store is across the street). Turn left into sub and make an immediate right on Paubmie. Then make a left onto Ottawattamie. Cottage is on the right side.

The house was very nice and very accommodating for two teenage girls a six year old girl and two adults. We loved the beach, very clean and the other folks there were very friendly. We found plenty to do.......golf, dairy farm, Michigan Adventure Park, shopping in Pentwater and did I mention golf. Art and Deena were easy to work with and we found everything as promised. We would highly recommend this property. You can make it a quiet get away or action packed times. Also good dining.........The Brown Bear in Shelby has great burgers and the pizza at the dairy farm was excellent. (can't beat fresh cheese)
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Good location, lots of beds, fairly priced!

We rented this house to attend a family wedding in the area and were satisfied with the experience. The unit is not large but it can sleep quite a few people comfortably; we had four adults and two kids with plenty of space to spare for a few more kids and one or two more adults. There is also a lovely sitting/sun room at the end of the unit that is quite relaxing.

A few caveats -- there is no air conditioning, there is only one bathroom, and the rental is not really near Pentwater. It is actually about 20 minutes south and is more accurately described as being in the Shelby/Stony Lake area.

Our family has been visiting this area for over forty years so it was pleasant to find such a conveniently located rental at such a fair price. We would recommend it to others looking for a comfortable "base of operations" when vacationing in the area.
