We had a fabulous trip to San Miguel. It started with a warm greeting from Teresa followed by a tour of your beautiful home with chips and guacamole to finish. A very nice way to begin a Christmas adventure in San Miguel. Teresa also provided some fantastic breakfasts for us to complement her warm and welcoming personality.
We loved how close your home is to everything in San Miguel, including all the great restaurants!
Thank you again for our wonderful Christmas in your lively home.
Bill, the lawyer in our family, and Carole, the artist of the two, have been married for over 25 years. One of the greatest and most fun adventures of our marriage has been buying and building our much loved home in San Miguel de Allende. Though having traveled to many other parts of the world, we have always been drawn to Magical Mexico! San Miguel has given us another life, new friends and a new second language ( more or less!!!) Over the last 16 years, we have spent approximately 4 years living in San Miguel. Be warned.....upon our first visit of 10 days, we returned home and promptly started to dream and scheme on how we could get back to this wonderful little town in the mountains. Let it be said, like may before us, we fell (hard) under the spell of San Miguel de Allende! Bill and Carole
We fell so in love with the town and with our location......love the San Juan de Dios Church and the beautiful gardens around it! The weather, people, food and cultural activities were all there for us to enjoy. Building and decorating out home was great fun and a wonderful learning experience.
Oh my God.....let me list the ways! Well, TIME.... Time to spend with old friends, leisurely lunches, enjoying the perfect weather, taking some classes, the fresh food, the new friends, both Mexican, American, Canadian, Italian, etc, etc!! We love our home....it has been a work in progress that took several years to complete. (This means we did spend many months actually working our tails off!) But now.....it is massages, dips in the pool, manicures, pedicures, FABULOUS food prepared by Terri ....AND.....I never clean, change a bed, wash a dish.......you get the idea.....makes it hard to come back home to Portland!!! Carole
