Wonderfully restored house for School of Mines Graduation

  • 5 of 5
The house delivered as advertised. My family used it for our daugher's graduation from Mines. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Downtown Golden was a comfortable few minutes walk and the Clear Creek parks right outside the back door. The house's interior was similar to my wife's childhood home in Az built around the same period with plaster walls, wide redwood baseboards, maple floors, built in cabinetry, and picture rails. Even most of the hardware was was original vintage. The new HVAC unit kept the house comfortable during the December cold snap. The location was perfect access to the college and local highways. The owner responded promptly to a question we asked via text message. I thought the price was very reasonable, especially when compared to hotels in downtown Golden.

Glazed Brick House - Better than Hotel

  • 5 of 5
We decided to look into renting a house rather than stay at a hotel because our previous experiences told us 3 kids plus 2 parents in one hotel room is a bad idea. This couldn't have worked out better. every kid got a bed and we were able to sleep in our own room. The house had all the amemnities we needed (at one point while looking for the iron, my wife said "it's got to be here -- they have everything else"). We loved the town of Golden and being in the foothills of the Rockies. we liked walking around the main street and the sidewalks along the Creek. We were able to easily travel into the city of Denver, Red Rocks, and Rocky Mountain National Park. I would recommend this house to anyone who is looking to stay in Golden.

Perfect for Graduation Stay

  • 5 of 5
We stayed at the house with our son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandchildren and really enjoyed it. We were there for graduation at the School of Mines, and the location was perfect. We did have to draw straws for a shower or bath, but, with a bit of discipline, it all worked. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were very comfortable - we had a great time.

Fantastic place!

  • 5 of 5
I cannot say enough about this beautiful house. Perfect size, perfect location, beautiful woodwork, charming decor, it far exceeded our expectations. We were close to the mountains, close to Denver, walking distance from downtown Golden, and had enough room to entertain a few local relatives for a day. Kitchen was well stocked and the house was spotless. Although it was a little chilly, we were able to spend some time just sitting out on the cool front porch. We loved this place and will definitely return next time we are in Colorado. Thank you!!

Best Time in Golden Ever!! We Loved the House & location!

Best Time in Golden Ever!! We Loved the House & location!

The Glazed Brick house was exactly how it is described & more. The cosy home made you feel just that way...At Home. The kitchen was well layed out with clean and newer appliances. The bathroom was CLEANER if that's possible. The bedrooms were exactly as described with room to spare. The twins had a room to themselves adjoining ours helping everyones comfort level. The Master bedroom was very spacious and allowed our older, married children ample privacy. The price was perfect. We saved nearly $1000.00 in hotel costs and were together & comfortable. It's too bad I can't give John & Amy 6 stars. They deserve it. It's our hope to stay again in the summer!!

Perfect Location and Size for a Family of 5

  • 5 of 5
This rental home was as advertised-- a very cozy home set literally steps from bustling downtown Golden. This was our first trip to Golden (for a family wedding) and we couldn't have picked a better home. With three boys 5 and under, we needed space and easy access to parks. The welcome packet was very helpful because it showed us top nearby restaurants.

Our only negative was some substantial sand on the floors upon our arrival that we had to sweep up (apparently leftover from a recent pavestone project in the backyard-- which looks great).

Other than that, this home exceeded all expectations and was a welcome alternative to a 3 night stay in a cramped hotel. We will be back!

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your review. I am terribly sorry that my eye did not catch the sand on the floor during my setup walkthrough. We rushed to get those pavers in the day before you arrived and I was in and out. We are glad you liked the new outdoor living space and the accommodations. We look forward to your return to Golden!
