2012 guest review: We had a wonderful time when we stayed at Caboose Royale last summer. The property is both truly grand and homey at the same time. We'd wake up and watch the morning start over the water. The huge lawn draws you to the beach but the cozy lodge-like feel keeps you sipping coffee sometimes and just enjoying the view. Down by the dock is a perfect place to swim, hunt for petoskeys, or actually finish a whole book. Because the kitchen is great and the stone fire place rocks it was tempting to stay and just enjoy the house (and the caboose!)
We did finally venture out of our Caboose Cocoon, rented bikes and toured some great vineyards. We loved L. Mawby the best. But ultimately at the end of the day we couldn't wait to get back to the house, to settle in and watch the sun shift over the lawn and water.
We would love to come back here. There is so much room and it would be ideal for a great group celebration.
