Simple cottage located on the most pristine white sand beach on all of the Chesapeake Bay region. Community of 22 cottages which are traditionally leased on an annual basis and have been maintained by the same families for generations.
Stepping onto the Neeld Estate Cottage Colony at Plum Point takes you back in time. This property was build in the late 1920's and has that historical charm of a time where life was much simpler. Unlike most beach front communities on the Chesapeake Bay, when you step out of your cottage at Neeld Estate you step directly onto the grass then sand. No sidewalks, curbs, streets or rip-rap walls.
Neeld Estate at Plum Point was a tobacco plantation dating back to the late 1600's (then called Letchworth Chance). The property is 200 acres of farmland and wooded area with vineyards which were historically a peach orchard. There is also a marsh located on the property which can be navigated by kayak with abundant wildlife viewing. There is a large colonial home on the property that is located approximately 1,800 feet back from the beachfront.
Cottages are charming and rustic. The cottages have one bedroom and one bathroom with a full kitchen. Most units have a porch/deck with sitting and dining areas. All units are leased on an annual basis and used seasonally.
