Why stay in an impersonal hotel or a commonplace rental apartment, when you can enjoy an elegant,
richly furnished interior with all the comforts of home for a competitive price?
La Camargo, a charming, one-bedroom apartment, is located on a high floor (accessible by elevator service) and it boasts a paticularly light and airy view of Paris.
It provides everything necessary to insure a calm and comfortable stay in the City of Lights.
The luxurious interior includes a fully equipped, modern kitchen, a new queen-sized bed, a superb, new Italian system fold-out couch that comfortably sleeps two, generous closet space, full air conditioning, wall-to-wall carpeting, antique furniture, paintings and sculpture, Fortuny fabric-upholstered walls, Pierre Frey silk curtains, a large HD flatscreen TV, Blu Ray and multi-zone DVD players, a DVD library with more than one thousand titles, an IPOD docking station, wifi internet, a recent Sony desktop computer, and free telephone service to European countries and to the continental United States!
The apartment is a ten minute walk to both Avenue Montaigne and the Champs Elysées, with their fine dining establishments, clubs and cinema palaces.
Situated on the Faubourg Saint Honoré (directly across the street from the Bristol Hotel Palace and the Ministry of the Interior on the Place Beauvau) on one of the best shopping streets in the world, La Camargo is only a short walk to Chanel, Prada, Lanvin, Hermès, Goyard, and the jewelers of the Place Vendôme.
One block west of the President’s palace, security of the area is provided around the clock by the French government, making it one of the safest neighborhoods in the city.

We are professional decorators and antique dealers, with long experience in creating comfortable and elegant surroundings. It is often said that 'The devil is in the details.' La Camargo is richly furnished, and no expense was spared to create an inviting ambiance - from the choice of flatware, to the master paintings and sculptures that embellish the surroundings. Many rental apartments are conceived with an idea, on the part of their owners, that renters are careless and damage property. Every effort is made to economise. It is our conviction, however, that the guests who stay with us recognize and are drawn to beautiful surroundings. They appreciate and respect it. We have made every effort, therefore, to create an environment which is a feast for the eyes. In so doing, we hope to lift the hearts of the weary travelers who come from far away, and who honor us with their patronage. While hotels rooms the world over are so standardized as to be interchangeable, we have heard a different drummer and created an interior which is uniquely French, with all of the grand and elegant traditions for which it is famous. If you are coming to France, we presume that you are looking for an authentic experience. With that idea as our guiding principal, we have done everything in our means to provide one.
John-Paul Bogart purchased this apartment in 1994
The apartment is centrally located on the Faubourg Saint Honoré, one block from the Palais de l'Elysée (the president's palace), across the street from the Bristol Hotel and the Ministry of the Interior. It is a stone's throw from the Champs Elysées and Avenue Montaigne. It is one of the safest and most elegant neighborhoods in Paris.
The apartment is sumptuously appointed, with antique furniture, fine paintings, sculpture and objects, silk lined walls and silk curtains, and a recent, plush Queen-sized bed. Modern comforts include air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, wifi, a large flat screen television, multi-zone DVD readers, over 1000 recent films, an iPod dock, etc. The apartment is not a cold, impersonal hotel room. It is cosy and extremely comfortable. A home away from home. Once outside the door of our building, however, you are in the heart of the most beautiful city in Europe, and only a short walk from most of its principal monuments, greatest restaurants, finest shopping boutiques and theaters. A comparable suite at the Bristol Hotel, just across the street, would run seven times the price we ask. The apartment is a jewel, and a great bargain. Just read our reviews. Consistent 5 star ratings. Our clients have all adored their stay with us, and many of our customers return regularly. We hope that you will become part of the ever growing 'La Camargo' family.
This beautiful apartment was recommended by a friend who stayed there over a year ago and raved about it....for good reason. This apartment made my stay in Paris one to be remembered. It is perfect!!! Thank you for all of the information that was provided, the excellent accommodations and a beautiful memory. Walking from here to the Champs was so easy. Thank you so very much.
This property is amazing! We always stay in Hotel accomodation when we travel but on this trip we decided to give HomeAway a try. From the moment we made our enquiry John-Paul was professional, friendly and helpful which eased any concerns. We used PayPal for our deposit which again was a straight forward process.
On arrival we were met by John-Paul who helped with our luggage and took us up to our apartment. When he opened the door I was instantly relieved. The furnishings in this apartment are superb! Beautiful plush bed linen, gorgeous antiques adorning every room, modern facilities throughout and the most obliging host you could hope for. The many 'little things' that were provided for our use, were in fact the 'big things' that made our stay extremely comfortable.
Speaking of comfortable..... No lumpy old mattress in this apartment! A beautiful clean king size bed awaits! The living area has the most amazing furniture and decor! We actually knew we were in Paris with the authentic furnishings.
We had the use of a computer which had lots of helpful information to make our stay easier.
My husband needed John-Paul's assistance to locate some medical equipment he required and to speak on the phone due to his language barrier. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he went above and beyond to help.
The location of this apartment is fantastic with great restaurants, gourmet food outlets for the French necessities, tourist attractions and shopping all within walking distance.
I cannot recommend this apartment enough! Do yourself a favour and book with John-Paul for your next visit to Paris! You won't regret it!
Everything about La Camargo is truly excellent. The decor, the location and the amenities are just as I envisioned. I have always wanted to "live" in Paris. My two weeks in this apartment certainly fulfilled my wish! All you could want is within easy walking distance and the apartment is a great base for sightseeing. Would I return to La Camargo....in a heartbeat! Thank you, David, for being a wonderful host.
The accomodation was beautiful, the location was so convenient to everything. I would highly recommend to stay here.
If I returned to Paris every year I would go back to this apartment! We loved it! Four adults stayed one night, and just two of us stayed the other nights. It was extremely convenient, had every amenity, high end appliances, linens and furnishings, was very quiet, and was exquisitely decorated! I felt like I was in a 5* hotel, except we had more room to spread out and enjoy ourselves. The bed and the Italian sofa bed were both very comfortable, and rooms were beautifully appointed. The high windows, with plants outside, brought beauty and light to the rooms. Across the street from Hotel Bristol, there are two restaurants (Michelin starred) to savor.
As for the area, we thoroughly enjoyed walking by the upscale shops and galleries on our way to the Champs Elysee and the river, which were just a few minutes away. We were close to the metro, and could easily get a taxi. We were able to enjoy the excitement of the Tour d France and also the Pro Women's race. There was a small grocery near-by and we liked going to cafes near Miromesnil. We highly recommend a Corsican restaurant near the apartment called A la Chataigne, 22 Rue de Miromesnil. We also recommend a Lebanese restaurant called le Loubnane in the Latin Quarter on Rue Galande. It was easy to get to all the attractions and other areas and museums we wanted to visit. We had very good communications with the owner, and he was very helpful! We have already recommended this apartment to friends who have booked it for an upcoming stay.
My wife and 2 teenage kids spent 8 glorious nights at this flat. It was more than what we expected and we enjoyed every minute of our trip and our stay. I want to thank David for meeting us at the flat on the day we arrived and giving us a one-on-one training session on how the appliances work. I would highly recommend staying here to any of my friends and I hope to stay there again when we visit Paris in the future. I would also like to thank him for purchasing a printer for his computer so we were able to print out maps and walking directions while we were in Paris. David went above and beyond what we expected him to do. Thank you David!
