Just what we were looking for
We are a family of four, and we were looking for a place to stay for a week where we could spread out and relax. This house was charming and simple with wood floors and high ceilings. The living space was big with a nice-sized living room with plenty of seating, and a big dining room with a table where we could play games. The kitchen had everything we needed. Small, shaded patio out back. The bedrooms were small but plenty of closet space. One bedroom had a queen bed, the other two had a single and a double. Great neighborhood with lots of good restaurants in walking distance. We loved Cafe 28 and Crepes a Latte-- both just two blocks away. I highly recommend Cafe 28 and regret we only went once. Only 2 blocks from the L, too. Because the house is that close, you can hear the L loudly when you are outside. Inside, I rarely noticed it after the first day, and it never woke me up. Vicki, the property owner, was easy to work with and was happy to have us stay. Being just two blocks off Irving Park also made it easy to get to Lake Shore Drive and I-90. We will stay there again when we come to Chicago.
