GREAT LOCATION AND GREAT PEOPLE!

  • 5 of 5
Awesome location...honestly, it's perfect for accessing South Austin (which is where you want to be anyway!)

Cozy, realistically all you will need as a single/couple. It's as big as a hotel room, but much better!

Fridge, kitchenette, mircowave...amenities are there.

I would venture to say best bang for the buck in S Austin!

EVERYTHING I NEEDED!

  • 5 of 5
This little studio makes for an absolutely perfect home base from which to explore Austin. While it's on the cozy side, it had everything I needed and more - a super comfy bed, stocked kitchenette, great shower, and a porch to take in those sweet Southern summer rains and put up my feet after a day of adventures. The place is walking distance to some excellent restaurants, and very close to downtown.

Erin is absolutely the best! She is so accommodating, kind, and flexible - she's just a joy to do business with. I ended up in a bit of a jam when the local I had planned to bunk with turned out to have cats, and I'm allergic. Erin responded to my desperate early-morning inquiry with lightening speed, and even sent directions to let myself in when she wasn't around. I will definitely be staying here when I next find myself in Austin.

NICE, CLEAN BUILDING IN A GREAT LOCATION

  • 5 of 5
Erin and Paul were friendly, and the guest house was small, but well-designed and clean, with everything we required. The location in south Austin was walking distance to many of the places we had planned to go during our stay, and a very short walk from a few bus stops. I would definitely stay here again!

PERFECT FOR A WEEKEND AWAY!

  • 5 of 5
The bungalow was perfect for our weekend in Austin. It was close to all the things we wanted to do while in town. The house had all the conveniences we needed cups & coffee/maker! We enjoyed having a porch to just sit and listen to music while planning our evening out on the town. I have always loved Torchy's Tacos and thankfully we found one VERY close and went all 3 days we were in town. Thanks for the wonderful weekend rental!

CUTE, COMFORTABLE AND DOG FRIENDLY!

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I stayed in this cute little bungalow back in February and it was cute, clean, quiet, comfortable; everything we needed for a weekend trip to Austin! Erin didn't mind us bringing our two dogs with us as well! It's small, but we were in and out a lot and more space wasn't necessary. Erin was friendly and quick to respond as well, not to mention the studio is in a great location for exploring South Austin and getting to I-35 quickly. I'd recommend Erin's place for sure!

BABY BOULDIN BUNGALOW

  • 5 of 5
We truly loved this tiny little bungalow during SX. Despite it's small size, the layout still allows it to feel spacious. The bathroom doesn't feel cramped and the shower has a nice flow. There is room in the medicine cabinet for all toiletries and plenty of towel bar/rack space. The little "bachelor" kitchenette features a stainless steel sink, microwave, large bar fridge (with separate freezer), toaster and coffeemaker. It runs along the same wall as the bathroom and was plenty for what we needed. As mentioned in other reviews, the Murphy bed folds down over the sofa, so you can't use both at the same time, but we just left the bed down during our stay, and it was fine. My only suggestion for the bungalow is to have some sort of hooks or rack where clothes and jackets can be hung. I had to drape my dresses over the chair backs to keep them from wrinkling. The entire place is made of wood and is very light (and smells great). I think the floors were bamboo.

The little house is in the back of a main house and you need to walk alongside the main house across some gravel to reach it. It's very secluded, although the dog at the main house didn't much like our traipsing across the gravel and barked at us, every time! There are also peacocks a few blocks over that you can occasionally hear shrieking, but it's not unpleasant (and adds to the "wildlife" sounds of the Grackles).

Erin couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. We have stayed in this area in the past (in fact, just a few houses away, one year) and we always love it. Quiet streets, but near to S.1st and SoCo restaurants, bars and stores. There is tasty coffee, Mexican food and music to be had within 15 minutes walking (or, even less, if you're driving) and it's easy to get on Mopac or Ben White within about 10 minutes drive. What a gem this little place is!
