The Canal House has queen beds in each room with plenty of closet and dresser space for extended visits. Full kitchen completely equipted if you feel like a home cooked meal or eat at one of the many local restaurants. Plenty of outdoor furniture and a gas BBQ. Large backyard, fire pit and a dock to relax on or try your luck fishing.
If the weather is not cooperating relax in the living on the leather sofas and enjoy the cable TV and Wi Fi provided, Seperate dining room with table and chairs to enjoy a meal or play some cards.

Hello my name is Christopher and my wife Helen and I have lived in Alaska for the past 43. We traveled extensively over the last fifeteen trying to decide where we wanted to live next and Florida came up the winner. We purchased the Canal House first and came down from Alaska every chance we had and fell in love with Nature Coast and historic Hudson Florida.
In 2012 we decided to purchase a second home on Hudson Crk closer to the Gulf and turn the Canal House into vacation destination for other people to enjoy as we did.
Helen and I both still work in Alaska on the North Slope but live full time in Florida. We work a 3 week on 3 week off schedule.

Hudson Creek is natural spring fed water way unlike many of the man made canal neighbor hoods in the area. Rich in history from pirates who would use it as a hide away from the Spanish Armada to the Sportsman lodge that occupied the ground where The Canal house is today until it burned down in 1943.
It is a sturdy comfortable home that we felt an immediate connection to on beautful water front lot. The first visit to The Canal House together we noticed a commotion in the Creek looking through the kitchen. We quickly ran out side to the dock and watched a dolphin feeding on bait fish using the seawall to corner its prey.
As the Gulf of Mexico waters cool the Manatee seek refuge at the spring waters that bubble up at the headwaters of Hudson Creek, our back yard. They are usually present from November to April and use the Creek as a breeding area.
