A lovely home away from home

We spent three months here, joining the parade of retired and semi-retired heading south to escape the cold. This house became a home away from home. Since you are not really on vacation but living in a different place, it was great to have a fully-equipped kitchen for cooking and baking - all sorts of small appliances and gadgets. There is a lot of seating in the kitchen/bar area. (The area also has a lot of good restaurants nearby.) This house has lovely decor and the landscaping is really nice. I spent a lot of time by the pool. The barbecue area is private and great for outdoor dining. One great feature was three full baths. When our relatives came for a visit, there was no waiting for showers. The split house plan ensured privacy. There was also a lot of closet space. The owners were awesome to deal with and were extremely helpful. The location is very good with access to shopping and other retail venues. It was close to a number of golf courses. The property was very clean and well-maintained. You can tell the owners take pride in their second home. The photos are very accurate - if anything, they don't reflect how nice it is in terms of furnishings and art. In the winter, there are different festivals and events every weekend - balloon festival, pyrotechnics, bluegrass festival, winterfest, spring fling and quilting on the lake, to name a few. It is close to bowling and the cinema. There are a lot of outdoor activities; Havasu has a lot to offer. Kids would love the waterpark! I would definitely recommend this to anyone and plan on returning. Thanks, Ross and Cindy, for sharing your lovely home!
