We love Boothbay Harbor and stayed here in a bed and breakfast for many years with our children before we purchased. We looked at many towns in Maine and although we liked Bar Harbor it was too far from our home in PA. to drive in a day. It is no wonder why it is an artist's mecca. The ocean and country vistas are truly breathtaking.We liked that our house had the nice views of Mill Cove and the ocean in the distance and yet it was within walking of the village.The weather in Summer is fantastic with very little need for AC even though we have them in the bedrooms. We love old houses and this house was built in the 20's for a lobsterman. It is simple and cozy.

Our house is nicely furnished and all the sheets and towels are supplied. The kitchen is well equipped as I wanted it to have everything I would want at home in case I cook, which does not happen much since lobster is our' Maine Attraction.'Eating on the deck with the view of Mill Cove and the ocean in the distance is very enjoyable and there is a grill as well as lobster gear for those who cook theirs.. The t.v.s are in the living room and master bedroom and there is a dvd player in the living room. The washer /dryer off the kitchen is convenient and there is a powder room on the first floor. It really does feel like a B&B as it s tastefully furnished and the beds are great.
