This lodge/ranch is amazing! They actually have a few rentals on this property. Check out their main site to see the rest. My wife and I stayed in the 'Barn'. From the moment we arrived the peacefulness was overwhelming. Your shoulders just melt all that tension away. If you still are a bit stressed, just hang out with Jesse, the always happy ranch dog. You will feel fine in seconds. It is so quiet and very nicely located to just about anything you want to do in Southern Utah. You can use it like a hub and go in all directions to explore. The property alone is huge! Grab your cup of coffee and go for a stroll.
The amenities are fantastic. Clean, comfortable home. All linens, towels, reading material, satellite TV, etc. Fully workable kitchen as well. Plenty of pots, pans, dishes etc. Plenty of appliances too! Microwave, coffee maker with grinder! Even fresh eggs! Literally! There are chickens, cats, horses, and a dog free-ranged on the property. The hutch is in the middle of the property and clean. Just pop in and grab what you need. Time can be lost just by watching the animals go about their business during the day. The chickens in search for little morsels in the grass. The cats running round all poofy, sometimes even wrestling together. Our first morning I woke up and found the ranch dog waiting on our porch to be petted. When you return from exploring he greets you home. If you have any allergies, Jerry and his lovely wife Jan understand, and you will not be bothered by animals. We love animals but found out they are not allowed within the rental just for that reason. I thought this was super thoughtful! Don't we all have that 'aunt' who's allergic to nature in general?
The caretakers cap this location to perfection. They actually live on the property, so if you need anything you just knock. But if you don't need any assistance, you will not be bothered. No hovering etc. They go about their lives like you're a roommate. If you wake up early enough, tagging along with Jerry to feed the horses is fun. Jan makes the most fantastic cookies! One bite, and you're hooked!
This surprise birthday present was perfect because of this home. We loved staying here. Thank you so much Jerry & Jan.
