When visiting the William H. Buckley Farm, you will be staying in a newly renovated 19th century farmhouse. The property was originally an old dairy farm and has been recently converted by its new owners into Buckley Farm where they raise all-natural grass-fed beef, pork, chicken and eggs. Although centrally located - close to downtown Ballston Spa and Saratoga Springs -the Buckley Farmhouse is a unique one-of-a-kind lodging experience where visitors will be staying on a working farm and experiencing farm life at its fullest.
If you are visiting the area for a short time or for an extended stay and want to enjoy the peace and refreshment of country life, the Buckley Farmhouse provides a welcome respite, with lovely antique-appointed rooms to explore and relax in, views of the lake and our beautiful Belted Galloway cattle. Of course, if you would like a little more hands-on experience, you are welcome to tour the grounds and meet the animals.
The Buckley Farmhouse has been beautifully remodeled and offers 4 large uniquely styled bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. Upstairs, the master suite has a king size bed and a private bath, along with views of the Belties from the bay window. The second suite has a queen size bed and private bath. The other bedrooms each have a queen size bed and share a full bathroom located in the main hallway. All of the bedrooms have cable television and the house has WIFI access.
Downstairs there is a spacious living room with two fireplaces, a lovely parlor, a large dining room with seating for 10-12 and a remodeled eat--in kitchen. The gem of the house is the large back porch that looks out over our beautiful farm vistas and Ballston Lake. This house is an unforgettable memory waiting to happen!
The Buckley Farmhouse is owned by Mark and Elizabeth Sacco and their 3 children. Owning and running a farm was a dream come true for the Sacco family and you will likely see them working and playing on the property during your stay. Whether it's collecting eggs, working on the tractor or tending the on-site farm store, there is no shortage of farm activities; but the Sacco's will be happy to show you around and answer any of your questions about life on the farm.

The Buckley Farmhouse offers a farm-stay experience that no other house or inn can offer to you!
There are many things that make the Buckley Farmhouse a unique rental opportunity.---And, although our house is beautiful, the animals are what make us the happiest. Here on the property we have 4 dogs (Red, Maria, Hawk, Sparrow) who live with and protect our nearly 1600 chickens. We have friendly free-roaming sheep and roughly 300 head of cattle. And, if you walk a bit down towards the lake, you will also meet our Gloucestershire Old Spots (pigs). From your windows or in person, our animals and our farm will enchant you and make you yearn for the 'simpler life' all the time.
Great location for visiting nearby family in Saratoga Springs. Everyone was very hospitable and we enjoyed learning about the farm and especially the farm dogs. The amenities of the house were perfect for our Thanksgiving meal for 12 right down to the perfect table and beautiful china. We also appreciated the wood for burning in the outdoor fireplace and enjoyed spending time with our family in front of the warm fire on peaceful nights.
This is a special property. magical! Myself, niece, nephew and some friends stayed there for a long weekend in August. We went to the Track, Saratoga for dinner, SPAC and spent the rest of the time relaxing on the farm . It was the perfect blend of activity and relaxation, All the people that work there are great, they go out of their way to make sure you have a great time Especially Kenni! WE loved watching and hearing the animals, chickens, cows , baby pigs ! and the Dogs are fun and friendly. We ate breakfast at the restaurant every morning -food was fresh and healthy. The house itself was beautifully done, clean .and decorated . It was charming ! there was plenty of room for us all and to accommodate all our different schedules and activities. From Peaceful in the morning relaxing to a cup a coffee on the deck to buying food from the restaurant and having a cookout , each moment was thoroughly enjoyable. We created memories that will last us a lifetime! The story of the farm and the way they care for all their animals shows their dedication: from making special food to making sure there is enough land to graze on this truly is a great place to stay and we all can't wait to go back next year!! Check it out you won;t be sorry!
We stayed at Buckley Farm for a week while enjoying the pleasures of upstate New York (Saratoga Springs, Lake George, etc). The house itself is large and fully equipped, with handsome period furniture as well as modern conveniences. There are two parlors, a spacious porch that overlooks the pasture, a large kitchen, and a full dining area. The four bedrooms upstairs are comfortable, large, and accommodating. The house was spotless, the caretaker Kenni was there to greet us, and the Farm's owner and staff were all cordial and helpful with details. The farm atmosphere--cows and calves, chickens, the friendly dogs--added to the pastoral feel. The cafe and meat market on site were a bonus, and provided morning eggs and bacon, sliced meats and cheeses for lunches, and dinners we cooked on the outdoor grill. The spaciousness allowed seven of us to be comfortable: intimate without feeling crowded. There is also an outdoor brick fireplace, and Kenni supplied us with wood for a nighttime circle there. All in all it was a wonderful gathering spot that provided all we needed and more.
My group has been coming to perform in Saratoga Springs for around 12 years and by far this has been one of the best experiences and nicest houses we've stayed at in the area. If you are looking for a relaxing and bucolic retreat this is the place! The staff was so attentive to our needs and we ate like royalty, purchasing our meat from the farm store. Happy farm equals happy visitors.
We hope to stay again next year!
Staying at the farmhouse over July 4th weekend was an experience unlike any other. The house was beautiful, clean and great for hanging out all day. In the evenings we attended concerts at the Saratoga performing arts center, and it was easy to get a can there and back.
The farm it's led was breathtaking. A few brave chickens enjoyed our morning coffee with us on the the back porch that over looks the majestic farmlands.
The staff was incredibly accommodating and didn't mind spending time answering our questions about the farm and sharing with us their deep knowledge of the working of the farm. They brought us fresh eggs and set up the fire pit for us in the evening. They never seemed to be shadowing us but we're always there if we needed something.
My favorite part was having the farm store next door where we purchased amazing pork, burgers, sausages, eggs, bacon, and fresh milk! Everything was from the farm, hand raised and was some of the best food I have ever eaten. My husband and I brought home even more to keep enjoying!
This place is magical.
What an incredible experience. If you are looking a for a peaceful getaway in a beautiful setting Buckley's farm is it! The staff and owners are incredibly nice, will give tours of the farm and are very accommodating. We stayed to attend a concert at the Saratoga performing arts center and it was perfect! Bonus: the farm store is right next to to the house and we devoured the fresh eggs, milk, and beef all weekend! Two big thumbs up!
