The views from this lovely home were simply spectacular! The home was pristine yet oh soooo comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything a chef could want. Best of all Mama Moose and her baby visited us on our very first morning. Nice walk to the beach and clamming. Easy drive to Homer . If we ever come back to Kenai we will stay here again.
Stunning views and perfect, luxurious accommodations! The home is exceptionally clean, well-stocked and beautiful! Sharon was available in case we needed anything and the trips to different towns weren't too far. We want to bring the kids next time! Thank you, Sharon!!
My family came to the Kenai Penninsula to go fishing for halibut and salmon. Volcano house is perfectly located half way between Homer and Soldatna. The view was so beautiful I am surprised we ever left the house to go fishing! The home is IMMACULATE- and Sharon, the owner, was an outstanding "hostess with the mostest". Every tip she gave us from restaurants to fishing guides worked out better than we could have dreamed. We caught tons of fish, enjoyed the home immensely and we can not wait to go back!
This cabin is awesome!!! Not only is it immaculate, but family friendly too. Sharon was around doing some landscaping, and was a joy to work with!! I highly recommend this cabin if you're interested. I have used this web site several times all over the United States, and love it!!! You can rest assured that what is described and what you see is exactly what you will get. This would make a great place for a family, fisherman, or anyone traveling with enough people requiring more than 2 rooms. It is a lot more cost efficient to have the convenience of a cabin then staying at any hotels. I would definitely rent it again. Thanks Sharon for all you did to make our stay a very pleasant experience!!!!
My husband and I were in Alaska early August; we were so impressed with the privacy yet central location of this home. We spent most of our days between Homer and Soldotna enjoying Salmon, Halibut fishing, hiking and the access to much of the Alaskan wildlife, it was as if you were watching TV. The owners shared and educated us on Alaska and all it has to offer. The view of the volcanoes from the deck, living room and dining room windows are like they are right out of a picture book, totally breath taking. The home is equipped with everything you could think of, very clean, charming and inviting. Definitely a good choice, we have plans to return next summer with the family. I would recommend this location and home to anyone that wants to explore Alaska. Its a home away from home.
My family rented this home for the week in July and was perfect for our needs. The owner was available and was so helpful in getting us familiarized with the area and even teaching us how to dig clams! The interior of the home was very new, clean and top quality with a pleasing-not-too rustic atmosphere. It had beautiful large windows that provided a view of three volcanoes that provided daily entertainment as they puffed vapor. The home is adequately isolated from adjacent properties and has a large rear deck that you can sit for hours enjoying the amazing view, watch the pair of nesting bald eagles in the backyard or search for whales in the Cook Inlet through binoculars. Surprisingly there were no mosquitoes to speak of. There is also a chest freezer to store your halibut catch in and many nearby charter operators. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need and all utensils and equipment were first rate quality. This was definitely a good choice and I recommend it to everyone especially big families.
