Wise old owl cabin on Patoka Lake. French Lick Casino Acres of property at this cabin afford visitors the chance to hunt, fish, boat, ski, golf, hike, explore caves, shop or just plain relax and enjoy the quiet. Perfect for 2 or a family of 20 people. This Cedar cabin has central air, very large front and back porches, BBQ grill, outdoor fire pit, plenty of parking! Buffalo rug, moose antlers, cedar smell--it has it all! However, this is NOT an alcohol party place.

Area attractions are plentiful, but the peace and quiet on the front porch is AMAZING! Sit and pick a tune on the guitar or sing to your heart's desire, this cabin located in a hollow will bounce it back to you! A strong VERIZON only CELL phone signal inside the cabin for those who just can't let go---dishwasher, w/d, no sweat! Once you've experienced this get-away, you'll want to come back again and again----a truly one of a kind wonderful cabin whose owners are lovingly sharing their experience with you

Family Reunions or Church Groups : This is a great place for reuniting loved ones or spiritually retreating for groups. Call us for recommendations from groups that have already stayed here. All wood cabin has great acoustics for musical retreats. We will work with your group!

Fall colors, Polar Express Train, Snow Ski-tube: Just about anything you can think of that you would like to do with your kids or spouse is located in or around this cabin.

Polar Express Train is just 12 miles from cabin. Snow ski Paoli Peaks, Water ski Patoka Lake, go Caving at Marengo Cave, Indoor water park (Big Splash) at French Lick, Casino at French Lick, Indoor Karting is a 'Hoot' if you've never done that, located in West Baden. The Patoka Lake State Park has magnificent biking trails, an archery range, a very nice beach with volley ball--wonderful visitors center with activities weekly. Terrific restaurants of all types in the area. Just give us, the owners a call if we can assist you in planning your activities---we'll be glad to help!

VERIZON CELL service is strong, all other providers are very spotty---you can walk uphill behind the cabin and receive other cell service, but NOT INSIDE the cabin itself, only VERIZON. NO INTERNET is avail at this time, We do have a landline phone for important calls in or out. DSL Internet is NOT avail in this area yet. There is a small octagon shaped bumper pool table in the basement as well as numerous board games and toys.

Perfect cabin for our winter church retreat!

We brought a group of nine from our church to stay at this cabin for a winter weekend retreat. It was the perfect cabin for our group. The room arrangements easily accommodated our group and we enjoyed the scenic location. Some of us went skiing and others went hiking--all nearby. We hope to make this an annual retreat.

AMAZING CABIN FOR SNOW SKIING TRIP

I recently stayed at the Wise Old Owl for snow skiing at Paoli Peaks and it is the perfect cabin! The hot-tub felt great on my sore muscles from the slopes. The bed was soo comfortable, I felt like a new person when I woke up in the morning. It was in the 20's and 30's outside during my stay and the cabin was SUPER cozy the whole time, I really enjoyed the fireplace in the living room. The three full bathrooms gave everyone plenty of space to get ready and feel comfortable doing it, and the kitchen was completely equipped - it makes you feel like you are in a home. Manly bison hide and moose antlers with charming owls and rustic lights made it appealing to both men or women - its the perfect place for a "guys" or "girls" weekend retreat!

Your only regret will be that you couldn't stay longer!

Family Christmas @ Wise Old Owl

Our family spent Sunday and Christmas Eve @ The Wise Old Owl. Our entire
group was overly impressed with the accomidations at this cabin. We had a group
of 13 ages 4 months to 75. We had a awesome fire outside, grandkids loved the hot-tub.
We took walks...enjoyed the cozy fireplace, played games...my grandson had a
ball with the lincoln logs downstairs and learned to play bumper pool on the table
downstairs... all the beds were coooomfy!! Everything is supplied with the cabin,
from A to Z my advice don't over pack because Debbie has thought of every need!
The cabin is a well kept secret, if thinking about booking do it !! you wont find another
cabin of this quality in southern indiana !! alot can be said for a privately owned cabin.. it shows. You won't work with anyone that cares about making your stay
enjoyable. Thanks again Deb.. It's feel's good to meet a new friend.

Better than description!

Everything was better than described. Beds were incredible. Gas fireplace in living room was so lovely and cozy. We had 13 of us. 7 were grandchildren. Everyone had a great time. We would definitely return.

Charming with lots of Amenities

My group had a fantastic girls' weekend at the Wise Old Owl Cabin. The owners checked in with us to make sure we were comfortable or had any questions. The hot tub was ready to go and everything was very clean upon arrival. The cabin is decorated very tastefully and is absolutely charming - it really felt like home almost instantly. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with every pot, pan, or appliance anyone would want in a cabin setting, making cooking large meals easy. The cabin has a great layout - everyone was comfortable and never felt cramped. With lots of girls, it was a blessing to have three full bathrooms. No one ever waited long for bathroom time and the hot water never ran out either. The cabin has a great location near to all the French Lick and Lake Patoka activities. We hope to come back again next year for a longer stay! I highly recommend this vacation cabin.
