The hand painted sign saying Well Fed Farm will cue you to the turn onto Christina's Way. You will then see the sweet garden

shed and greenhouse, the fenced in gardens, apple tree and chickens (yes the children or you are welcome to come and pick vegetables for dinner!) As you drive slowly down the winding half mile path that will enfold and welcome you, we imagine you will anticipate the house and environs you have chosen for your vacation, reunion,celebration, wedding or romantic week for two.

Built in 2006 our luxurious lakeside camp consists of one adirondack style cedar shingle home and two cozy cabins. Privacy for all. You will enter the main house onto an 1,200sq/ft screened in porch with an outdoor stone fire place, pingpong, handcrafted pine harvest table, and french doors to access every room. The great room in the center of the house hosts a magnificent indoor stone fireplace, multiple couches and handcrafted game table. For the chef in you the large chef’s kitchen fully appointed with huge Wolf oven, original Monson slate farm sink will bring smiles as you and your family or friends create meals overlooking the lake and listening to the loons. Each bedroom has it’s own private bath. Each bedroom and cabin has a private screened porch with lake views. The furniture throughout the house was handmade by local carpenters and artisans.

The Love Shack and Loft House each consist of their own screened in porch, propane fireplace, kitchenette, sitting area, full bath and views of the lake. In addition to the master bedroom in each the Love Shack has a bunk room and the Loft house has a second floor bedroom.

The property sits on 100 private wooded acres and 3,000 ft of water frontage, ripe for exploring. The grounds boast hidden hammocks to swing on and sway in the waterfront breezes and read. There is a large outdoor stone fire grill for barbecues and picnic tables. The waterfront has a large dock, lounge chairs, 4 kayaks and a canoe. Perfect for swimming, boating, or fishing!

You can walk or run the 6 mile loop in the morning before jumping into the water.

The property is completely solar powered and we ask renters to be mindful of conservation.

It can comfortably sleep 14 (perfect for a family reunion) while promising everyone privacy and yet is also cozy enough for an individual couple’s retreat.

If you ever want to leave the camp you can be in Camden or Belfast in under 15 minutes and enjoy the natural beauty of the Maine Coast or the wonderful shops and restaurants along Route 1.

We built this camp as our family’s sanctuary, but we do like to share it on a limited basis with people who would also respect and appreciate it.

About The Owner

I am a chef and designer. I have two children. I tend to my farm, and am dedicated to issues of Global Security, the environment and protection of children. My friends and family are the world to me.

There is a magical story behind my acquisition of the land the house is built on. Let's just say that childhood dreams come true if you never let the dream go.

What makes this estate unique

The lake has never had a motor boat on it, it's pristine and so tranquil and quiet, swimming from end to end, kayaking at sunrise or sunset, fishing the bass, it is unusual because it's so private and secluded, it feels like time stands still.

My wife and I chose Christina's lake house and cabins to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary in August, 2012, with our children, grandchildren and some good friends. Everyone was totally in awe of the place and the experience. We spent our days on the lake in the canoe and kayaks and my 13' sailboat and basically had the lake to ourselves. My son, a gourmet cook, was in heaven in the dream chef's kitchen and we all enjoyed having all of our meals together at the wonderful wooden table on the screened-in porch. We spent the evenings having ping pong tournaments and card games at the large table. There is a roadside stand several miles away where you can get fresh vegetables and pastries fresh made daily. We had a total of 11 mixed fruit or blueberry pies during the week and blueberry pancakes almost every morning for breakfast. Christina is a wonderful, charming person to rent from and she goes out of her way to try to supply anything that could make your stay more enjoyable.. We took some day trips to Camden and Acadia, but almost regretted not spending all of our time on the grounds and the lake. No one wanted to leave this heavenly lodge and lake and everyone dreams of returning someday. Christina, we love you and thank you for creating and sharing this wonderful spot.

My Favorite Week of the Year

My wife, three boys and I have visited this property for the past two years, and we just booked another week for the kid’s upcoming winter break. It’s my favorite week of the year.

The Cabin is great, has every amenity one could want, and is very much a perfect luxurious, private, lakeside getaway. Bring food & wine, and the smiles do follow.

The area offers infinite choices for fun activities – the kids are outside all day. The Camden SnowBowl has great family skiing (25mins away), and the fireplace in the cabin is a great gathering place for evening wind-down. Our kids love exploring the lake, which has decent ice fishing from what I hear (We’ll see this year!).

I recommend this property as the perfect family get-away spot … Now I just need to convince my wife that we should also spend a week here each summer.
