Brand new luxurious two bedroom executive laneway home, complete with modern furnishings. Has everything you need for a comfortable extended stay in the city and only a 15-20 minute drive away from everything (Downtown Vancouver, Metropolis at Metrotown, North Shore Mountains).

A total of 850 square feet; equipped with state of the art Miele kitchen appliances and everything you need to prepare meals at home, a large living space to entertain and a powder room all on the main floor, two bedrooms with queen sized beds plus a full bath upstairs on the second floor with lots of storage space! In-suite laundry available (2 in 1 LG washer dryer). Watch TV or movies on a 3D HDTV or play games on the Xbox (cable and internet included).

Just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown but close enough to get you down there in less than 20 minutes (8km). Need to get downtown but don't want to pay for parking? No problem! The closest SkyTrain station is a short 10-minute walk and will get you into the Downtown core in 15 minutes. We are ideally located close to the TransCanada Highway (1.5km), safely nestled into the quiet and beautiful Renfrew Heights neighbourhood.

We are a young professional couple, born and raised in Vancouver. We love the city and our dream laneway/coach home. We have decided to venture off and try living in other cities; therefore, we have decided to share our beautiful custom-built home with visitors to this world-class city. Our stay at the lanehouse was exceptional in every regard, and really exceeded our expectations. Having never tried AirBnB types of rentals before, we (a family of 3 from Calgary) appreciated Alan and Ivonne's timeliness and patience in answering our questions and walking us through the rental process from the beginning to the very end. The property was exactly as it appears in the photos: spacious, clean, and well stocked with all the amenities. Everything from blenders, slippers, and fish sauce were already there! The neighbourhood is quiet, with many tree-lined streets to walk through, and a bus stop a few blocks away. We look forward to visiting again! :)

Great Communication and Fantastic Space

The owners were spectacular keeping in constant communication with us. Any email I sent was answered within an hour. The space was exactly how the pictures showed and the owners even let us borrow a playpen for our daughter. The space feels so much bigger than the pictures suggest and the finishes in the rental property are top notch. You can tell that the owners and anyone who has stayed here in the past care about it so much. Security cameras are around the property and to me made me feel reassured I wouldn't be held liable for damage I did not cause. Closet space is plenty in both bedrooms and this rental property literally had everything my family needed to cook our meals. We should've packed lighter as they even provided a hair dryer (something my wife and sister in law made me pack). WHEN I stay again in the future I'll be sure to not bring so much as the owners are very accommodating!!!

Two things that were a bit difficult (but definitely not deal breakers):
1) They had two garbage cans which we filled at least twice in the 9 days we were there because there didn't seem to be a space to recycle. Needs a dedicated recycling bin and not just an organic waste bin
2) Parking space was tight for a dodge caravan. I had to park tight to the drivers side and sneak out the passenger side in order to have enough room to open at least one side of the doors. Definitely long enough for a van but its just wide enough.

Very Highly Recommended

After reviewing a number of vacation rentals in Vancouver on VRBO, my wife and I decided to stay at Ivonne and Alan's laneway coach home in the Renfrew-Collingwood area. The house is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood close to grocery stores, restaurants and the SkyTrain. We were in easy driving distance of Stanley Park, UBC, Granville Island and North Vancouver. A well lit private parking area and entrance made after dark returns safe and convenient. The inside of the house was immaculate and furnished with modern furniture. The kitchen was well equipped with modern and higher end appliances and place settings that you do not find in most vacation rentals. The 3-dimensional television also was a treat to experience as well. The comfortable beds and warm comforters made us feel right at home.

Although Alan and Ivonne were out of town during our stay, they were very helpful and prompt in answering any of our questions by email. We want to thank them for a truly enjoyable stay and their wonderful restaurant recommendations, especially the one for dim sum (Kirin in Richmond).

A gem

This hous is a gem. Well designed, clean and tastefully furnitured. We stayed here as a family for one week to prepare the student exchange of our daughter. The house is spatious enough for four, the kitchen well equipped (with MIELE white ware), the IKEA beds and linnen help for a good sleep. The parking lot beside the house is very comfortable.
Due to our late night arrival we had asked the owners to suggest a cafe near by for breakfast. Instead they filled the fridge with everything we needed for a good start.

We are located 10 minutes from Metrotown, British Columbia's largest shopping centre with over 400 stores and services, including a SilverCity movie theatre.

Five (5) minutes away is Burnaby's Central Park, a 90-hectare urban park known for its excellent sports and recreation facilities including: tennis courts, outdoor swimming pool, horseshoe pitch and a pitch-and-putt golf course. Anchoring the park is Swangard Stadium, host facility for many sporting, cultural, corporate and fundraising events.

Only 10 minutes away from the Fair at the PNE (Pacific National Exhibition), the longest running and best attended annual ticketed event in BC and the site of hundreds of famous events. Open every summer.

20 minutes to Downtown Vancouver - just far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to be right in the heart of the city in less than half an hour

The famous Richmond Night Market is only 20 minutes away (near the Vancouver International Airport), open May through October. Serving up Vancouver's best Asian cuisine, merchandise and entertainment.

Looking to hike in the summer or ski in the winter? Grouse Mountain (most popular for its Grouse Grind hiking trail) is only a short 25 minute car ride. Also open for skiing and snowboarding in the winter. A little further will take you to Cypress Mountain, where the first Canadian Olympic Gold Medal was win at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

You can also get to Whistler Blackcomb, North America's #1 Ski Resort in an hour and a half. Whistler Blackcomb is a four season resort with a world-renowned Mountain Bike Park and a 22-feet Olympic-sized halfpipe, and five Terrain Parks. The mountains play host to countless festivals and events each year including the legendary TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival each April, and Kokanee Crankworx Mountain Bike Festival each August. Whistler Blackcomb played host to the world as the official alpine skiing venue for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
