The home is wonderfully decorated and comes with all the amenities to make your stay comfortable and fun. From your king size bed in the master bedroom on the second floor, you will hear the sound of the endless waves. As you wake with the sun coming up over the mountains, you can see dolphins swimming by and even an occasional grey whale.
This house is built for entertaining family and friends. Outside the spacious living room, you will find a large deck, a portion of which is covered and wind protected, with a large gas BBQ and two tables and chairs.
With just steps to the sand, you will be able to explore one of California's most unique and beautiful beaches. Faria Beach can best be described as dynamic because of constantly changing sand levels, which at certain times of the year, exposes the rocks underneath and creates a wonderland of tide pools and marine life to be explored amongst the rocks.
Most of the time there is ample sand to take long walks on the beach or build sand castles. Swimming, boogie boarding, snorkeling, and kayaking can all be enjoyed at Faria Beach. If you are a surfer, the world class surf break called 'Pitas Point' is right in front of you.
You will immediately fall in love with this house and will want to come back many more times. Come, stay, and relax at our home on Faria Beach and you will see why this is one of the most popular places to stay in all of California.
The Faria Beach house was perfect for my family over the winter holidays. The house was clean, comfortable and fully stocked for holiday cooking including rolling pins and cookie sheets. The house is right on the beach. The beach is perfect for surfing, walking, and playing Frisbee. There is ample room for friends and family to visit, eat and play. I recommend the Faria Beach house for the young and old!
Our stay was wonderful with the house being very comfortable and homey. Everything we needed was there and we just had the best time. Both of our daughters live in Santa Barbara and Ventura, so we were able to spend
a lot of time with our girls. Being able to bring our dogs was such bonus too! They loved the beach walks and we enjoyed the sound of the ocean every night. Faria Beach is such a unique and lovely peaceful place. So nice to get away from the hustle of daily life. It would have been nice to have a recycle bin. We hope to return again soon.
The Faria beach house is wonderful. The views are spectacular. We enjoyed the sound of the crashing waves at night and exploring the tide pools with our kids in the morning. Everyday we would go for walks on the beach. The beach was never crowded. The house was clean and well stocked. There were lots of towels, extra bedding, and paper products. The washer and dryer came in handy. We grilled just about everyday-plenty of propane. Our entire family ranging from 14 years old to 73 had a great time. We were very comfortable. The house is really charming and was perfect for our extended family get together. There is a lot of seating indoors and outdoors. The upper deck was a nice place to hang out. We enjoyed trips into Ventura for kayaking in the harbor and bike rides as well as trips to beautiful Santa Barbara for a sunset cruise on a sailboat and a visit to Stearn's Wharf. We visited a couple wineries as well. You can have the best of both scenarios- a relaxing time on a quiet beach or a short drive either south or north for all sorts of activities. We had lovely weather between 70-73 all week. We appreciate the fact that the owner allowed us to bring our little dogs too. I would certainly stay here again and I recommend it to others.
We really liked the house. It was beautiful. The only thing I would have changed is the access to the beach. Climbing down a pool ladder was difficult for some, especially with a little one. The owner was extremely cooperative and informative. We liked the games and toys and left some beach toys for the next visitors.
We absolutely loved everything about this beautiful home: Fully supplied kitchen (minus food), all major appliances, beautiful furniture and decor, lots of patio and balcony furniture, tons of clean towels/sheets/beach towels, a barbecue grill, beach-access from the patio, and endless fresh ocean breezes and sounds that were pure Heaven to fall asleep to at night! To offer a few specifics about the home, the upstairs Master bedroom contains the King bed, the adjacent bedroom contains 2 separate double beds (BOTH bedrooms have fabulous ocean views and share one common long balcony with lounge furniture), one full bathroom with tub/shower upstairs, one bathroom with shower downstairs, and a third downstairs bedroom with a Queen bed that is in a converted garage (this room is dark, cool, and does not have a view of the ocean). There is also a very cozy fireplace, a large digital TV and a DVD collection that even interested our 9-year-old. Some enjoyable excursions and favorite restaurants included: Solvang for Aebelskivers, Danish Sausages and to-die-for Danish Pastries; Los Olivos Cafe for an amazing lunch (downtown Los Olivos is designed for wine-tasting); "Lure" Seafood Restaurant (lunch and dinner) in downtown Ventura, Cajun Kitchen Cafe for Breakfast (Ventura); "Bart's Books" (outdoor used bookstore) in Ojai; and wine-tasting at the picturesque Old Creek Ranch Winery (in Oakview, up Hwy 33 towards Ojai). Having lived in Ventura previously, I know that kids enjoy the Golf N' Stuff Family Fun Park and teens love Salzer's Records (both in Ventura). If you love to bicycle, be sure to bring your's as there are miles of bicycle trails!
The property exceeded expectations in every way and provided plenty of surprises (boogie boards in the laundry room, ripe and sweet bananas growing out front, a stash of cooking supplies and spices, DVDs that my kid would actually enjoy). The tide pools were a treat, as was collecting shells on the beach. We were fortunate to visit at the new moon, so the low tides were VERY low! One note on the layout that's not evident from the web page: the queen bedroom is downstairs, the king bed and two doubles are upstairs. The only problem we had was that the downstairs toilet had a plumbing issue, but Justin was on top of it and had a plumber out in under an hour. We took advantage of the grill and tried to cook a few meals at the house, but with so many good places in Ventura how could we not go out a few times? Lure was probably the new place we tried. We also enjoyed Old Creek Ranch Winery in Oak View. We would definitely stay again.
We are just finishing a fantastic spring break at the Faria Beach House. It has proven to be a perfect spot for our family. The house is clean and comfortable and is stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed surfing, boogie boarding and some nice walks. We saw dolphins, sea lions, sea stars, an octopus, even 2 whales. We can't wait to come back.
