In the small community of Paradise Harbor, you’ll have the perfect setting to enjoy the ultimate Key West vacation, with plenty of space to stretch out in your own accommodations when it’s time to escape. Whether you’re cooling off inside this upscale home, relaxing by your private pool, or heading out on the beautiful waters of Key West from your private boat slip, your stay in Old Town Key West will be the best of all things at “The Commander’s Sanctuary.”

THE LOCATION…

The unique location of this home is the best of all things Key West: right on the water at Garrison Bight with a private dock and boat slip, in Old Town off Eaton St close to the Historic Seaport restaurants and shops, and just a short walk from Duval Street and the White Street shops. All of the typical Key West spots are accessible by a short walk or bike ride, but should you decide to drive there is private off-street parking for two cars with this home. Speaking of parking, this home also includes a private boat slip on the docks behind the home.

THE LIVING AREA & KITCHEN...

Climb the stairs or take the private elevator from the first floor parking area up to the main level living & kitchen space. This modern island home has bright, tropical colors, tall ceilings, and luxurious modern furnishings. Slide open the floor to ceiling glass doors for a waterfront view all day. The living area boasts a large flat screen HDTV with DVD player, which you can watch from the comfort of the plush living room furniture or the kitchen/dining areas thanks to the open living plan of this main floor. The living room sofa also pulls out to a Queen sized bed for sleeping extra guests. The kitchen is fully equipped with state of the art appliances and all of the tools and utensils you will need to prepare a meal at home. The dining area has seating for 6, with 3 additional seats at the kitchen bar. There is also an iPod dock in the living area to play some music while everyone gathers on the main floor.

THE PRIVATE POOL & DOCK …

Through the sliding glass doors of the living area is one of the highlights of this home: the private back yard complete with two private decks and a private pool. Fully fenced for privacy and surrounded by lush tropical greenery, this will undoubtedly be a primary gathering place for your group. There are chaise lounges by the heat-optional pool when it’s time for a swim and some sun. A full outdoor dining set by the pool can comfortably sit 6, with another outdoor dining set on the second floor porch above with space for 4 more. The backyard is complete with a large propane grill for an outdoor barbecue by the pool. Enter through the back gate to the waterfront dock area, only accessible by those staying in Paradise Harbor.

THE ACCOMMODATIONS...

This home was designed to provide comfort and space for a group. Take the private elevator or climb the stairs to the top two floors where you will find the accommodations. The master bedroom is on the second living level, and has a King-sized bed, a large flat-screen TV, plenty of dresser space, and a private balcony overlooking the water. The master bathroom is en-suite with dual sinks, a large soaking tub, a glass and marble shower, and a huge walk-in closet. The second bedroom is also on the second living level, and has a Queen sized bed, a flat-screen TV, and a private balcony. The second bathroom is also en-suite and has a tub/shower. The third level can sleep a total of 6: there is a private bedroom with two twin beds that can convert to a King upon request, and an open room with another 4 twin beds, which can convert to 2 King sized beds upon request. The third level accommodations share one full bathroom with a tub/shower. Additional sleeping area is available in the living room, as the sofa pulls out into a Queen bed. There is also a half bath off the living room on the main floor.

Shel was amazing. He was present and attentive and made great local recommendations. We loved Sandy's cuban sandwiches and Hogfish - both local places Shel recommended. His customer service was a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. The property was clean, however we did have several maintenance issues (broken dining chairs, broken dishwasher, inadequate window coverings). Shel addressed each of the issues as expediently as possible.

Overall rating for Shel is a 10, the property was as described, but we were disappointed that maintenance was required at this pricepoint and would give the property itself an 8.

Perfect property and location for a visit to Key West. Close enough to walk to everything on Duval Street but far enough to give you privacy. Plenty of room in this home including a great back patio/pool area to relax and grill out. Really glad we picked this home because I can't imagine a better place to stay in Key West.

INCREDIBLE PROPERTY WITH A GREAT VIEWS

My experience at the Commander's Sanctuary @ Paradise Harbor could not have been better. Upon arrival, Shell was more then helpful in showing us around the house and giving us recommendations for restaurants. The location was perfect for our group, being close to a main road that was just a short ride/walk away from everywhere we needed to go. The house is perfect especially for a larger group with a mix of bedroom configurations and the pull out couch. The elevator and garage was an added touch to the incredibly maintained property. Upon arrival, we had an issue with the temperature of the pool that was taken care of within an hour. I would more then recommend this property to a friend or relative and will be renting from Last Key in the future.

BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY, CLOSE TO EVERYTHING!

The property is the perfect size for larger groups, whether it is couples or for a group of friends. The first impression of the property when you walk in, is how nice the accommodations are. The rooms are very nice with comfortable beds. The elevator is very helpful to get luggage and whatever else you need to get up and down while there. The backyard is perfect for relaxing in the pool or laying in the sun. The kitchen has everything you need to stay in and cook. It was particularly helpful for us in the mornings for breakfast.

Shel was extremely helpful. He met us at the property just as we arrived into town. He gave us a great tour of the house, as well as some great suggestions for food and things to do while we were in Key West.

I would recommend this property for a few reasons:

1. Great location. Central between old and new town.

2. Great property manager - Shel. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

3. Beautiful home - Very comfortable. Everything you need.
