FALL RATES FOR AUGUST 30 THRU SEPTEMBER 6TH

Hayden Lake Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

The Boat House is a little bit of heaven right here on earth.

Wake to the morning call of the osprey as they swoop down to make their catch to feed the young. The Blue Heron sleeps on your dock and in the morning his spectacular call can be heard across the water. Great lake access in the front makes this quiet cabin a welcome respite from your everyday routine. A large deck and screen porch give you lots of space to enjoy the morning or afternoon with a good book after a refreshing swim or paddle.

If you are an artist and would like to have a place to write, or draw, or weave or do ceramics there is studio space available. Perfect for a May, June or September retreat.

Located on Sandbar Point on the northeast side of Hayden Lake, you are surrounded by 10 acres of your own private paradise. Great lake access, amazing view, large sandy beach, covered dock all yield the perfect vacation spot for both youngsters and adults. Clean well water. There is an indoor shower but you will want to use the new outdoor shower. Very private.

30 minute drive to Coeur d’ Alene but once you get on the lake you will not want to leave. The deer are your evening neighbors as they drink at the creek that runs by the house. Walk the trails on the property or go to the local golf course and get your exercise that way. Great restaurant on the lake and others in close proximately. Warm days and cool nights make sleeping easy.

We'll let you in on a well kept secret. If you need a quiet place to think or create or get away with your sweetie the time is September. Cool mornings, warm afternoons most of the lake people have gone home and it is sublime.

This newly renovated cabin offers a little bit of heaven right here on earth. Owners live down the shore. Non-smoking , pets with a small pet fee. Weekly rentals only. Saturday check in at 3:00p.m. check out before 10:00a.m. the following Saturday.

We have lived on the lake since 1987. For many years all year round. This quiet spot is where our kids learned their love for water, nature and each other.

Barbara purchased this cabin in 1987

As we have always owned our own busiess we were not limited to where we could live. And since we owned our own business we realized tha we should live where we would be most happy to vacation. Water and mountains a place to row in the morning and hike in the twilight right out our door was exactly what we found.

This property offers it all. A great sandy beach, privacy and room to roam.

Excellent Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5
We recently rented the boat house and had a fabulous family vacation. It had been 3 years since we got to take an entire week off together and we all just woke up everyday and said " We're so glad we're here!" The location of the Boat House is ideal if you enjoy nature. It is set in an inlet with a sandbar just out front that was mostly covered with water during our stay. As the summer heats up, the sandbar is more exposed. We saw turtles everyday, heron, an osprey diving for fish and huge bass swimming almost up onto shore!
We brought a canoe but Barb and Marty also have a row boat with an electric motor, a rowing shell and 2 really cool, fun and easy to use kayaks. We took all of them out at least once and had a blast.
The house itself is safe for younger kids in terms of the outdoors. On the deck there is an expandable gate that latches across the stairway and kept our agile 22 month old escape artist where we wanted him. Indoors was cozy and comfy with games, books, a TV, and very comfortable beds. We absolutely adored the outdoor shower too!
Our only disappointment was that the fairy forest and pingpong pavillion were not up and running yet this year. This was our first excursion to the Boat House so we don't have memories from other years to draw on, but our oldest was looking forward to playing in the treehouse in the fairy forest. We did a little cleaning up of it ourselves and it was moderately usable.
Otherwise we had a splendid time and found ourselves wondering if we could do it again next year for 2 weeks!

Owner's Response: So sorry that the fairy forest and ping pong pavillion were not fully opened the weather had been really wet this year and the trails back in the woods were still soggy before you came. All is up and running now and we look forward to your return to enjoy it next year. And bring your instruments...The fairies like music at night!

We had a wonderful time visiting the "Great Northwest". Hayden Lake is beautiful and the cleanest one we've every been to.... and we've been to some great ones, which includes lakes like Glenville in NC, Glen in MI, and Beaver in AR. The Boat House is quaint and very nice. My two children loved the trails, and the ping pong pavillion. We all enjoyed the sand bar, even though the water was a little cold in late June for us Texans!!

What a perfect place to stay. Especially as a respite from the Ironman crowds for those of you who might want to come watch a family memnber race as we did.

Barb,

thanks for all your hospitality.
