Loved the cabin, Hate the owner

We went to Moonlight Reflections for 2 nights in May. We had a great time. The cabin was well-maintained and we had fun in the hot tub, on the boat, and just sitting on the porch.
The problem was that when we got home from our relaxing vacation, I noticed that we had a $189 charge on our credit card, separate from and in addition to the charges that I paid for the two night cabin rental. When I asked the owner about the charge, he said it was a "pontoon boat rental fee." Not once on his website, in our emails, or during a phone conversation I had with the owner about where to find the keys to the boat, did he mention that there was a fee for the boat, let alone a fee that was more expensive than a nights stay at the cabin. The website says that you can use the pontoon boat after signing a liability release, and says nothing about a fee. He didn't even have us sign the release, or anythign, regarding the boat.
He has refused to give me a refund and has threatened to take me to court after I contacted my bank and told them I never authorized the charge. I had to change my credit card number out of fear that he will rack up even more arbitrary charges that I did not agree to.
Though the lake is beautiful, there are much better people you could rent a cabin from than this guy, who cannot even write an email with proper grammar, let alone conduct proper business.
Owner's Response: we take great pride in taking good care of the wonderful people that stay at our cabins . also out boats are well maintained as we converted al our rental boats to 4 stroke engines spending over 12 ,000.00 dollars this year. our rental boats are not included in our rental prices as this lady responded . our website clears states that you may bring your jet skis or your own personel boat ,or you may wish to rent 1 of out rental boats . we have the cheapest priced rental boats on lake nantahala, 180.00 per day +sales tax of 3 % total for a full day from daylight to dark , total woul dbe 185.40+ the gas you use which she did not pay for . also my cleaning lady called me and told me of the comforters on bed had dogs hairs all over them as they let their dogs sleep on the beds , also left pots and pans on stove with food still in them ... owners beware of this lady as she wants something for nothing and i don"t think you could please her !!!. david raxter owner of www.logcabins4rent.com
