The 20th century building is equipped with : elevator, intercom.
We had a great time and enjoyed the apartment. It was great, It’s a comfortable apartment and very centrally located. The location was perfect and we were able to walk to Metro etc. Thank you very much! Will rent it again some day, hope real soon! The location was perfect and we were able to walk to Metro etc
We found the apartment to be very clean and well maintained. It was exactly as it appears in the photos. We found everything we needed to be comfortable. Having the toilet in a separate room from the shower worked well for us. We appreciated having the elevator after long days of sightseeing. The apartment's location was perfect, just a block from the Arc De Triomphe. It was easy for us to sightsee using the Metro and on foot. We felt safe in the neighborhood. We arrived in Paris by train and took the Metro to the apartment. We found it easily. Someone was waiting for us at the apartment and we could make ourselves at home immediately. When departing we chose to ride the Air France bus to the airport (the bus stops just down the street). We were extremely pleased with everything about our wonderful stay at this apartment.
The apartment is a 10 minute walk from Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees and metro. Quiet and cozy. Ideal for a couple but no more. Small Elevator (as expected in Europe) Efficient space use in the apartment (kitchen in a closet, shower and sink in the same space). The owner provided in room AC unit that worked very well as there is no Centralized AC. Communication was good ( I would recommend having a manual for the operation of lights, AC unit, key operation for the door as well as front door) we were greeted by the Housekeeper (did not speak English) but was able to get the owner on the phone and email/text messages were returned promptly and suggestions for places to go were also given. Wifi worked perfectly as well. There were ample cleaning supplies present. A grocery store in less than a block away in case we ran out of anything. Several suggestions for improvement: 1. Wooden Floor had a few screws sticking up that could be potentially dangerous if you are walking barefoot. It may be worth-while to fix those areas. 2. lights were not working in the Shower/Sink area (I had to get very creative to get the light fixed myself as the repairmen were on vacation according to the owner--she brought a candle to get light in the shower) I would suggest going through and fixing all the lights. 3. The sink/shower is black and shows water stains/soap stains very fast when we arrived it looked like it had a lot of hardwater/soap stains (I had to use lysol and water stain remover to preclean it before we took showers. I am sure it was just hard water stains but it's the little touches that matter to some guests more than others. 4. As mentioned before, a written manual/book that outlines the location (which floor and what number) and operation of the apartment as well as expectation preferably emailed to the guests before they arrive. Also, the contract for the stay was presented when we arrived (it would be nice to get that contract before the arrival as it was 4 pages and small print--after a long trip for some that might be another stress added!) Overall, the value of the location and quiet cozy apartment definitely outweighed the minor suggestion that I outlined. if the owner acts on those suggestions this is a gem in a posh area in Paris where you can stay. We definitely enjoyed our stay in Paris. Thanks.
Overall the best thing about this rental was location..point blank. The location is close to the Eiffel tower, about 1.5mi walk, which wasn't bad, and less than a mile from the Arc Triomphe and Champs de Elysees blvd. We walked it all with our 8month old son in tow.
These are my cons about this place, which may not be a deal breaker for most. For starters we were very clear about our arrival time as documented through email with the owner. We were left waiting and calling for 2 hours on the street before we heard back from the owner and were actually able to get in. Owner stated it was a mix-up. Rough start, willing to forgive, except it got worse. The apartment is small which is to be expected in Europe but what I can't accept is that it was NOT clean at all. Owner stated there was a cleaning crew they used but obviously not before our stay and we paid a cleaning fee in our rental which must be for the owner's time cleaning???? The shower was dark, black tile but there was no hiding the grime and disgust. The sink was gross as well, I barely let my infant touch anything when cleaning him. The "kitchen", which is a sink and college dorm refrigerator in a closet was so gross we never even bothered to use it while there. The floors have nails coming up and are beyond scuffed, looking nothing like the picture on site. I was left wishing we would've gotten a hotel so at least we would've felt clean. I think this rental has great potential and could really be top notch if ownership actually hired a cleaning crew and it looked as it does in the pictures. On the 5th floor, elevator small, like all of Europe. Toilet is in another closet with washing machine and cleaning supplies, cramped to say the least. Remember to bring your towels, soap, etc...there's a small grocery store within a minute of the building. I really just wish this place had been clean.

Owner's Response: 1) You told us your flight will land at 16:40 ... and call us at at 17:00 to tell that you were at the apartment ... waow very impressive : 20 min. to get the luggage, go through custom, catch a cab, ride to the apartment from the airport (30 km) ! 2) Because you arrived before the estimated time, our housekeeper could not do her job properly 3) Kitchen ? Toilet ? Have you really looked at the pictures before ? 4) Towels was provided, forgot it ? 5) the 2 elevators are smalls "like all Europe" ??? what else ? streets in Paris are narrow ? all the cars in Europe are small ? ... you'd better not travel overseas
