This is a nature lover's dream escape to experience South Louisiana Cajun Country at its best! Great fishing and lots of fun for watersports. Waterway connects to Belle River, Lake Verrett, Lake Palourde and Grassy Lake. A Party Barge is also available on site for rental and easy to put in/out by access of private boat lift. The property has a multitude of cypress trees surrounding a small swamp. Enjoy the large covered patio and additional top deck overlooking the bayou. Sit dockside to fish or just sit on the porch swing and take it all in. Enjoy a BBQ and dine outdoors on the bar area complimented with an outdoor flat screen TV. In the evening, light up the Tiki torches and listen to the sounds of nature in the moonlight. This is a great photography location!

If inside is more your style, the living area is quite comfortable including a 50' flat screen TV. The living area is open to the kitchen which is nice for preparing meals while visiting with everyone. The wood stained cathedral ceiling and woodburning fireplace adds a cozy touch. This is a great place to create family memories year round.

We are centrally located between Lafayette(cajun country), New Orleans(home of jazz and Mardi Gras) and Baton Rouge, state capitol. Our place gives a picturesque experience of the Louisiana swamps without having to rough-it! By boat, view the Louisiana swamps and lakes, home to bald eagles and various birds and wildlife. Rent our party barge to experience the waters for yourself. Chartered fishing trips and tours are also available through local companies to experience the swamp and chances to see alligators in the wild.

About The Owner

My husband and I bought this place to spend uninterrupted time with our 3 children. The kids love to sleep late, watch TV, play board games and fish while we are here. I love having the time to cook all our favorite dishes and big breakfasts while we are here. My husband loves to grill and fry our fresh catch of the day. We all love the peacefullness of this place and hope you enjoy it too.

We love the outdoors, we own a boat and wanted our children to learn to fish and enjoy boating, tubing and waterskiing as much as we do. This place has the comforts of home with the great outdoors feel.

Great place to stay on the bayou!

We had a fabulous time at your house even though our trip was cut short. The house was beautiful and the kids loved the loft. House was stocked with everything we could have needed. Owners were very easy to work with and we will definitely try to come back soon. Love the area! And all the gators!

What a perfect retreat!!

My husband and I needed a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of life, being quite the girly girl I can tell you I was none too excited to be headed to the bayou. Upon arriving I was IN SHOCK! This house is decorated so nicely with all the amenities any girly girl would ever need. The master bathroom had a sunken tub which easily accommodates 2 :) The kitchen was up to my standards and I am a chef! This family has taken great care to ensure that you really are at a HOME away from home. They were very accommodating to us even loaning hubby some fishing poles! While there were only 2 of us we could of easily and comfortably brought the all 5 of us. The view is amazing and there is even a party boat you can rent on site! A nice flat screen tv in the living room and one in the bedroom (we didn't even bother to turn them on.) A lovely HE washer and dryer, this place really does have it all. We will be back, thanks for such an awesome time!! (Sorry it took so long to write this!)
