This is a 2-bedroom cottage on little side street close to the docks. Bed Set Up: Upstairs Bedroom 1 has a double bed & is top of the stairs and is a “walk through” bedroom to access 2nd bedroom. Bedroom 2 has a double bed and two twin beds; Queen sleep sofa in living room. Second couch is a regular couch. Home sleeps 6 in beds, 8 using sleep sofa. Open porch with table & chairs; gas BBQ grille. New kitchen & 1 new bath in 2009 on 1st floor with shower (no tub). There is a washer shared with house behind this one called Harry. Just steps to beach around the corner, docks, fishing, & restaurants. Close to the restaurant but is set back off of the road, away from traffic. There is parking for 2 cars in the driveway. Note: Owner is able to get a wireless signal on their laptop from other wireless in homes I rent nearby. Bring your laptop too if you want (no guarantee but it does work for them). DESCRIPTION OF SACO AREA : Saco beaches are named: Kinney Shore, Bayview, Ferry Beach & Camp Ellis. Kinney Shores is adjacent to Old Orchard. Ferry Beach, Camp Ellis & Bayview are located about 2 miles south of Old Orchard Beach and are at the ocean on Saco Bay. (see info below). Bayview is a little more prestigious area. State law now prohibits bonfires on any beach in Maine. Old Orchard has amusements & gift shops. From the beach, it’s about 5 miles to Funtown which is a theme park & water park; about 7 miles to the Aquaboggin, a water park; 5 miles to major supermarkets. Another attraction is “bird watching”, especially at the Scarborough Marsh, which is about a 5-minute drive from Old Orchard & 10 minutes from Saco. Others nearby are the Saco Heath, Kennebunk Plains, Two-Lights in Scarborough (in the off season) &, Biddeford Pool to name a few.
The Old Orchard Beach/Saco exit is Exit 36 mile marker once you're on the Maine Turnpike (I-95). Saco & Old Orchard are about 30 or so minutes north
GOLFING , ETC.: Golfing: There are several golf courses here. Closest to Camp Ellis would be Saco-Biddeford Country Club; in OOB it’s called Dunegrass. There’s another one in Saco. Other locations also are in Scarborough, So. Portland, Sanford, etc………

SHOPPING: Saco is half way between Kittery & Freeport (LLB) for outlet shopping. About 20 minute drive is the Mall at South Portland. Along the way on Rte. 1 north or south are many antique shops.
