Camp Ellis is a 'Fishing Village' area….now dotted with newly-remodeled. It is still an active fishing area for commercial lobstermen & fishermen. You can go over to the dock and watch both fishing vessels and pleasure boats.
Nearby is the Camp Ellis General Store which features daily lobster catch during season & will cook while you wait or return to pick them up. They also serve breakfast. You can also buy lobsters at 'boat prices directly from our friend & neighbor, the lobsterman Dean Coniaris, the 'Fish ‘n Optician'. You’d have to cook them yourself if bought from him.
