In order to best serve our visitors, the State of Hawaii requires that all owners have an on-island property rental management firm and we have selected Destination Resorts Hawaii as our designated company. Servicing Wailea owners and their guests for over 30 years, we have found that this Wailea-based company can quickly react to any needs or concerns that our guests may have, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Their guest care program encompasses Front Desk (check-in and registration), Housekeeping, Maintenance, Concierge and Emergency Repair Services.
Our guests check in 24-hours a day with a live person, not fumble with a lockbox or emailed instructions. During your stay, assistance is available from the Reception Office seven days a week to address your requests and inquiries.
When booking our unit there are no additional check-out or cleaning fees.
Included in our daily rate is a Deluxe Housekeeping Service which is provided every 3 days by a professional staff, many whom have been with the company and servicing our unit for many years. This was our first trip to Maui but it will not be our last! Your unit was perfect for our family of 4 - Mom, Dad, our 4 year old son and 6 week old daughter. We were so impressed by the grounds, and our son enjoyed picking up fallen flowers to bring back to the condo. Each day day he called the island "the island of flowers" :)
The pool was perfect for our family every day and the view of the water - so calming! And the staff throughout was so friendly.
We had a wonderful time. thank you so much for our much needed break during a gloomy season back home.
Most of the year we live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Veronica is a practicing marriage and family therapist, Dan is retired from a Silicon Valley company.
Our first trip to Hawaii was more than three decades ago. Since then we have come back almost every year ultimately visiting all the Islands and gradually falling in love with Hawaii, in particular with Maui. We discovered Wailea, and its wonderful beaches in the early 1990's.. Initially we stayed in hotels, but soon realized that condominiums were much more comfortable for us. After renting several different units at Ekahi Village, we decided on 20J when it became available.
We chose this unit for several reasons: The beautiful view looking out to the ocean and to the flowering plumeria trees, 3-5 minutes from the beach and to the main swimming pool, the two completely separate sleeping/bathroom design, two lanais, the high ceiling and lots of light. It is difficult to decide what is the best feature of our unit, but perhaps its location is the most important, an upper corner unit, in a quiet area.
We are always sorry to leave, but then we can look forward to the next time when we can come again to our second home. Ekahi made us feel as if we were in paradise, with its beautiful flowering trees, many different kinds of birds, spacious, open grounds, quiet, friendly atmosphere. We especially enjoy waking up in the morning to the chirping of birds, listening to the sound of waves in the quiet of the night, watching the geckos trying to catch insects on our kitchen window, and birds building their nests close by. Early in the morning we can see the ocean from our window, and decide if it is a great day for snorkeling, or perhaps better for boogie boarding, judging from the appearance of the waves. The beach pavilion and its surrounding area is comfortable and private, its swimming pool heated, although we confess, we prefer the ocean. Snorkeling right in front of our complex,on Keawakapu Beach, next to the rocks, is very good, and turtles often can be seen, together with lots of different kinds fish .Farther to the left, Ulua Beach is a very popular snorkeling spot. Our kitchen is next to the lanai facing the ocean, and we love eating our meals outside, enjoying the ocean breeze. For a quick swim on a busy day, there is a swimming pool just a few feet away from our building. It is surrounded by a 'quiet area', ideal for reading a good book. ( The children prefer the bigger pool by the beach ). To make it feel even more like home, there is a little herb garden right outside, to the left of our building, which comes in handy when we feel like cooking.
