This spacious (1500 sq. ft.) open floor-plan ground floor condo has hardwood floors, 2 bedrooms with a King sized bed in each, an office/study with queen-size sofa-bed, breakfast area, and large 2-car garage.
This unit has never been lived in before we purchased it in March 2011. Since then we've had it professionally decorated and appointed with TV's in master bedroom and study, a 55-inch LED big-screen TV over the gas fireplace, a built-in bar area, plenty of seating indoors, and a large stone patio with a great view of the pond/waterfall.

Stuart and Carol live in Alpharetta, about an hour and half from Cuscowilla. Carol is an admin. assistant, and Stuart is Chief Technology Officer for a local Atlanta-area software company. Stuart was born in England, educated in South Africa, and loves to play golf whenever possible. We love traveling and gardening.
The Owner purchased this condo in 2011
Cuscowilla has won numerous awards, including Best Residential Golf Course in the US 2 years running. We've been here numerous times to play golf and enjoy the resort, so when this condo came on the market, it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.
Driving through the entrance to Cuscowilla is like stepping through the back of the wardrobe into Narnia... it's a quiet, peaceful laid-back resort with lots of amenities, friendly neighbors, and plenty to do within easy driving distance.
Our family recently stayed at this beautiful Cuscowilla condo for the third time in the past three years, this time for two weeks, and it is still as clean and well-appointed as the first time we visited. We love getting away from the rush of south Florida and finding quiet, peaceful places to relax and unwind, and this is the place we always come back to when visiting the Lake Oconee area.
In the condo, we really enjoy the Viking appliances, wine cellar, outdoor gas grill, high definition TV's, and the overall relaxing flow of the layout. We felt right at home the first time we stayed here and really do so now after multiple stays. The pond behind the condo is so quiet and peaceful compared to the main lake with lots of loud boat and jet ski traffic in the summer, but you're still only minutes away from all the bustle and activity if things get a little too quiet at times.
The closest comparison in terms of quality I've seen to this condo in the Lake Oconee area is the nearby Ritz-Carlton two-bedroom cottages at Reynolds Plantation that cost $2,500 per night in the summer. Save some money and rent this condo instead; you'll be glad you did. The owner is the most responsive and accommodating person from whom we have ever leased a vacation property, and we're looking forward to returning for a few more weeks in the fall or winter.
This location was perfect for 2 couples; beautiful location, owner is most accommodating and responsive. The condo is fully equipped, clean, modern and most inviting. Would highly recommend choosing this home when in the area; it exceeded our expectations.
This condo is a hidden treasure. Great location, surrounded by nature, gorgeous golf courses, tons of shopping and dining near by. The condo interior is beautiful and comfortable, very relaxing. Exterior views are breathtaking. We enjoyed the on-site amenities including the golf course, restaurant and swimming pool. Owner was a joy to work with and very accommodating. The condo exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at Cuscowilla!
We stayed here for a week in October 2011 (my previous review is below) and again for a week during Easter 2013. This is a beautiful condo, ultra comfortable and perfectly decorated with high-end furniture and appliances. It's hard to imagine a more peaceful setting or a nicer, more relaxing place to stay at Lake Oconee, and we actually prefer the location on a quiet pond instead of the noisier main lake. With the mist coming off the pond in the morning, it is absolutely gorgeous and looks like a scene from a movie set in our own backyard.
The condo owner, Stuart, has been extremely responsive to all questions we've had before and during both of our stays, which makes the whole rental experience so much easier and enjoyable. Also, the condo has obviously been meticulously maintained as there was no sign of wear since our first visit 18 months ago. We hope to come back to Lake Oconee and stay here again for a week in the fall.
This was by far the best home or condo we have ever rented anywhere; after a week, we really didn't want to leave. Beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, elegant but comfortable -- it felt like home immediately. The Viking kitchen was so nice and open to the rest of the living area and back porch that we found ourselves cooking in almost every night, which added to our relaxation since we were not always rushing off to dinner somewhere. The beds and bedding were incredibly comfortable, very high end and luxurious. The pond and waterfall in back looked like a scene from a fairytale with the mist rising off of it in the early morning, and it was also quieter than being right on the nearby main lake with all of the boat traffic. I could continue on and on, but go experience it for yourself. Stuart was great from the first communication on, with spot on recommendations for local places and things we might want to do while staying there.
This condo is new and very well decorated with state of the art appliances and televisions.(There's nothing like watching the Braves hit 5 homeruns in HD) The inside was beautiful and so was the view from the back patio. The furniture and the beds were very comfortable. The layout of this condo was spacious. It had more space in it than any other condo I've ever stayed in. It almost felt like a house. I would definately recommend it as a great place for a short getway for any small family that loves the outdoors, golfing, and spending time on the lake.
