Our home is located directly on Rodgers Lake, a 265 acre lake with several tree covered small islands. With beautiful Foliage all around the lake you can view it using our kayaks or from the sun room, yard and house. Take the kayaks out using our dock or bring your own fishing boat or jet skis with you.
Enjoy a country Christmas when you cut your own tree and place it in the window lined living room. Sip hot chocolate in front of the fireplace with views of the lake.
When I was a little girl I vacationed at lake houses. It was so exciting to drive in the driveway and run into the house for the first time. I loved swimming in the lake and one of my earliest memories was sitting and having my parents dry my feet to put my shoes back on to walk up to the house. When my own children were little our family rented the same waterfront lake house for the first week of summer vacation for 20 years. Then we rented a different lakefront property the last week of the summer vacation. In my mind, it was the perfect way to start and finish the summer. I always got the same thrill as we drove into the driveway for the week as I did when I was a child. It was always my dream to own my own lake house and now for the last 9 years my family and friends have made so many happy memories here.
I now would like to share that feeling with you.
Pam and Bob purchased this house in 2004
Old Lyme and Roger Lake is unique. It feels like the country but it is minutes from RT 1 and RT 95. And if you come far, why not take a little bit of a longer ride or train to visit NY, Boston or the RI many beaches.
We are on the side of the lake with beautiful sunsets.
There is plenty of grass for lawn games.
If you want to venture out there are quaint countryside drives with little ice cream stands, little villages, rolling hills, farms and country stands.
Want more excitement, travel over to the casinos a short drive to the east or if you are looking for great bargains travel a short drive to the west to the outlets. Each shoreline town has small shops individually owned. And these shoreline towns have plenty of special events. The New England greens and fairgrounds always have something to please.
