5 Bedrooms, 4 Bathrooms, Three and a half kitchens, Sleeps 10 in three units

Villa Eau Claire is a unique rental for a larger group of up to ten people. Why? The Villa has five full bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, but it is organized into three separate units, each with its own kitchen and deck for sunbathing and eating. The Villa is located directly on Magen Bay, with its own private deck, with shower and lighting, and its own sandy pocket beach, separated on both sides by rocks that provide privacy. For a large group, with multiple families, you will not find a better facility, with more individual privacy, all on the same property directly on the water on Magen's Bay.

The location is breathtaking, private, with beautiful views from the Main Beach all the way to the Atlantic Ocean in the north. At night, the mountain across the Bay is lit up like a Christmas tree. The property is gated and protected from the main road, and the area is very quiet at night for sleeping.

The breeze cools the villa - constantly: The single most appealing quality is something that you cannot see on pictures. The prevailing Easterlies blow out from the Main Beach, creating a very tranquil Bay while providing almost constant light breezes at the property, day and night. Air conditioning is seldom used, expect during Hurricane Season, when the breezes are lighter. Just one half mile down the road the properties are very warm because there is no breeze, normally. The decks all have afternoon sun for sunbathing, as does the deck by the water, and the sunsets are spectacular.

The property is entirely renovated two years ago, and decorated in the Caribbean style by a professional decorator, my wife Annika. She is on one of the pictures. She swims a hile and a half every morning when we are there at the villa, which is mostly in the winter.

Peterborg is centrally located: Peterborg borders Magen Bay to the East, and it is central north on the Island. The property is five minutes from Mahogany Run Golf Course, one mile to Magen's Beach, 15 minutes to Charlotte Amalie, 15 minutes to the ferry to St. John in Red Hook.

Perfect for up to three familes: Villa Eau Caire is a very unusual configuration on St. Thomas. This is organized into three separate units, side by side, including a large studio, with a kitchenette, a large condo upstairs, with two bedrooms and two baths, and a large kitchen and seating area, and a two bedroom, on bath, with a full kitchen. All of the units that large decks that overlook the Bay.

The singular virtue of this property is the presence of its own pocket beach, with a private deck, shower, and lighting. The property does not have a pool, other than the magnificent Magen Bay, with its calm waters, sandy bottom, and pocket beach.

  • The bathrooms are newly designed, all with showers, with charming island appropriate vanities. There are four bathrooms.

  • The king sized master bedroom is one level down, with about 50 sq ft and a large exterior deck for sunbathing. This unit has a kitchenette. Upstairs, the 1400 sq ft condo has two bedrooms, two full baths, and a complete and large kitchen, with one king sized bedroom, and second bedroom with two twins that make into a king. Immediately next door (20 feet), there is a two bed room condo, at 1000 sq ft, with a full kitchen, a king sized bedroom, and two twins. This has its own deck, with a barbecue, at about 350 sq ft. This is a wonderful arrangement for two or even three families, with children, because it combines being together with having some space, and not being on top of each other. When we use the whole villa for our family, we stay in our apartment, we put one family with two children in the apartment, one son with a daughter in the studio, and my other son with his two children in the main condo.

Notes: Other Amenities: There are two full kitchens and a kitchenette. Every room has an outside deck. The beach has a private deck, with shower and lighting. The main activity is swimming in the lovely, quiet waters of Magen Bay, where my wife swims more than a mile every morning, enjoying her own shower afterward. No minimum Age Limit for Renters, but we do require a liability waiver for children under eight years of age.. Nude Sunbathing Nearby. Alternative Lifestyle. Villa Eau Claire is approximately .4 mile from the main beach on Magen Bay --- an easy ten minute walk on sandy bottom in the water, with really beautiful rock formations along the way. The Main Beach has a good lunch restaurant, a bar, and a place to buy suits. Little Magen's Beach is less than one hundred yards away. It is the only beach on St. Thomas that permits nude bathing, but it is mostly used by locals, who are very friendly, and keep to themselves. Our grandsons, ages 11 and 9, found this very amusing.

We came to Villa Eau Claire to celebrate my sister's 50th birthday. As beautiful as the pictures are on-line, they simply do not do Villa Eau Claire justice. I have worked in the vacation rental business for over 20 years and this is the absolute cleanest property I have ever stayed in. Julia, the house manager is fantastic and the pride in her work shows in all aspects of the property. Everything is spotless and you want for nothing and if you are like us and enjoy cooking and eating in some, nights, the kitchen has eveything a gourmet cook might need. The Satelite Television came in handy so we could watch Alabama win the National Championship and for those who need to stay connected there is wireless internet.
The nights that we ate out, we loved Mims and The Old Stone Farm House is a Must! Even the food at Megan's Bay Beach Bar is very good. But Mims definately serves the best Lime in the Coconut! For a fun afternoon of snorkling and sight seeing, we hightly recommend Fury Sailboat Charters.
We loved everything about St. Thomas and especially the villa--except having to leave! We are thinking about returning for my 50th birthday in 2 years! Next time we intend to spend more time just relaxing and enjoying the spectacular views in every direction irom sunrise to sunset.

My family stayed here for a week. We all love the place. Very nice amenities. Quiet area. Private beach. We'll definitely come back to stay here next time we visit St. Thomas.
