Beautiful, beachfront with water access, studio/condo, on the incomparable Magen's Bay, one of the most beautiful bays in the Caribbean. Villa Eau Claire, where the condo is located, is the closest occupied property to the main beach on Magen's Bay. The villa is a short climb up from a deck with a shower, located on a pocket beach that is entirely sandy. The deck is located one hundred yards from Little Magen's Beach, the largest pocket beach on Magen's Bay and the only beach on St. Thomas that permits nude or topless bathing. Of course, with a private deck, sheltered on both sides, many of the guests go topless right at the Villa.

This is one of the only three condos on Magen's Bay. Other condos are not directly on the water at all, and none of them have their own beach and deck.

The condo is large, about 500 sq ft, with another 250 sq ft of covered deck, where sunning in the afternoon is easy. The entire condo was renovated in 2007, with new furnishings and art work.

The television is served by Dish Network and offers all of HBO. There is a library of videos for your pleasure, and others can be added upon request.

The bathroom has a double sink and vanity, with a shower. The sink stands were hand made to fit the location.

There is a very functional kitchenette for food preparation, including a microwave, sink, stove top, and all of the appropriate utensils and appliances. There is a refrigerator for cold storage.

The unit is air-conditioned, but the air-conditioning is only really needed in late July to the end of September. Otherwise, it is more pleasant to have the three large fans on and leave the sliding doors open for the breeze and to hear the waves at night.

The studio/condo opens out, to walk up to the car or down to the beach, and the villa is equipped with a utility room with a washer and drying.

Villa Eau Claire is a luxury, high end villa, with everything less than two years old.

The location is unique; meaning that nothing else is like it on Magens' Bay. The unit is extremely quiet, very private, and romantic.

Northside, Magens Bay; on Beach, 20 minutes from airport. Villa Eau Claire is one half mile through the water to the main beach at Magen's Bay, two miles to golf, one and a half miles from beautiful Pecora Point, 20 minutes to downtown Charlotte Amalie, 15 minutes to East End ferry to St. John. The movie theaters are 15 minutes away, there are good restaurants within five minutes by car; and the shopping is about 15 minutes away for food and other things.

Other Activities: Villa Eau Claire is the only condo on Magen Bay, with its own sandy beach. The Bay is shallow and sandy bottomed, so our guests can either walk to the main beach (ten minutes) or walk down the shore toward the point. The water is clear, the bottom sandy, and virtually no waves most of the year. The road on which we are located is the main walker and runner road on St. Thomas, used by the locals. We are exactly 1.5 miles from Pecora Point to the North; one mile to the turnoff, and 1.5 miles to the main beach.

  • Our properties are rented all year. During hurricane season, we offer a complete refund for any days that you lose due to a storm. Also, you need to be aware that power outages are very frequent in the islands, sometimes several times a week and lasting hours. We have an emergency 27k generator, with an automatic changeover switch, that provides complete power whenever WAPA is out. That means that everythings works, all of the time, including computers, television, hot water, lighting, airconditioning, etc.

That saying does not apply here! This place IS TRUE! It's refreshing to know you can still find people who advertise honestly. What you see is what you get and when you actually step through the door, you'll be blown away with how gorgeous it truly is in person!

We loved the place! It was everything described & more, super clean, & absolute paradise! Thank You so much. My biggest complaint is that our 10 day stay was not long enough. Walking to Magen's Bay Beach through the water was incredible! This place is quiet, comfortable, clean & did I mention, absolutely gorgeous?! We spent days exploring the island & some days just laying on our little pocket beach & enjoying the crystal clear water. Every night we slept with the doors open (screens closed). The breeze was wonderful and hearing the crickets and the lap of the water was just heavenly. I'll never forget this, our first trip to St Thomas. Very glad that we found this place & appreciate how true it is. I'd recommend it to everyone I know.

We did come across a few wobbly steps on the way down to the pocket beach & the gate could use a new hinge. We aren't complaining & understand that with the weather & usage, these things can break down. Just wanted to let you know.

All in all, this place honestly exceeded our expectations! If you're reading this and considering booking, just do it! You will not regret it. It is pure heaven. Thank You Annika!!

I wanted to say Thank You for a beautiful stay. Julia was wonderful and very accommodating. Your place was excellent making it easy not to leave property. Just sitting and watching the cranes fly and waves come in and out was what we needed after a very stressful year.

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Eau Claire very much. We will certainly be back. The amenities were nice. The owner was great to deal with leading up to our arrival & Julia was very helpful upon arrival. The view of Magen's Bay is incredible. The secluded little beach was so relaxing. We saw several sea turtles & various other aquatic life while snorkeling. For those looking for peace & quite away from the hustle & bustle of the resorts, this is the place to be. We can't wait to go back. Thank you very much for sharing your little piece of paradise with others.

Amazing!!! Highly Recommended!

Our recent trip to St. Thomas was for our wedding. We found This villa by chance on VRBO and it's absolutely beautiful. In fact, we were all over the island while we were there and found nowhere we would have rather stayed. We loved and very much appreciated having the pocket beach. It's fantastic. The views from the villa are stunning. We spent lots of time on the deck and it's so peaceful.. The villa was the perfect size for the 2 of us (the larger villa is wonderful inside but would have been too much for just the 2 of us) and it's homier and more quaint than the pictures portray. It's just a wonderful, wonderful place.

I was certainly nervous about reserving a villa I had never seen, on an island I had never been to with people I didn't know all online for our wedding. It couldn't have gone smoother. Gordon was incredibly responsive, helpful and considerate. Julia, the housekeeper, was overly accommodating. Especially when we arrived after a long day of traveling and had luggage, a wedding dress, etc in tow.

There is not one remotely negative thing either of us could ever come up with about the villa, the location, the property, the owners or the transaction. We will certainly schedule our next trip to St. Thomas around the availability of this villa.
